Anyone have any knee issues before? Yesterday after a 8 hour work shift, my knee was just killing me. Really sore, and I didn't want to put a lot of weight on my Left leg so I was walking with a slight limp.

It's a discomfort on the inside part of the Left knee, a little bit below and to the side of the knee cap. A lot of crackling when I bend it (which is probably crepitus build up of fluid from inflammation) , and it's uncomfortable to squat down.

Past 24 hours I've been icing it for 20 minute intervals every 4-5 hours, and just resting it keeping off it. Do I have an MCL sprain? I don't think it's a Meniscus tear, but those are really the 2 things that my Internet research has led me to.

I have. My pain in my right knee was similar to yours and I couldn't put a lot of pressure on it. It was diagnosed as a torn meniscus which tore during a fight for my life about 7 years ago.

As far as the Gamestop situation (if it's a woman) I've found the best way to stop that sort of nuisance is to engage in full on eye sex. That usually gets them to divert thier attention to another customer in which you can then indulge in covert eye sex, you know, the regular kind where you try not to get caught)

On a random note, while the hell am I able to charm older (an in some cases attractive) women more easily than chicks my own age? It's like my mind goes blank when trying to talk to them.

I have literally no idea on how to flirt with someone my own age. I get hella self-conscious. Tips?

So if I may ask, it probably started off as a small tear and left untreated got more unstable over time?

I really, really, really like hitting in Fenway Park in The Show. I see the ball well there, for whatever reason.

I hate day games in Cleveland's stadium (Progressive Field?). There's some sort of sunlight glare on the trees by the batter's eye, which happens to be right where the pitcher releases the ball and it makes the ball invisible to me for some reason.

Yeah it's really weird, even when I adjust the camera angle it's still basically the same.

It is because you aren't really trying with older women. Take the same approach to women your own age.

It's weird seeing pictures of your best friend throughout high school signing autographs as a college football player. Won't be getting any playing time this year but it's still an awesome sight.

Yeah... Tear got worse over time and had to exhaust the physical therapy options prior to surgery. Due to worker's comp and how lengthy that process can be, surgery was 4 months after the injury. At time of surgery, it was almost a complete tear.

I kinda gathered that, but it's good to hear confirmation of it from someone else.

I've tried doing it that way and the only way I know how to comfortably converse is to not be attracted to them in the first place. I have low standards so this isn't really possible....

After typing this out I know what my problem is and it's very hard to put into practice. It's the trap of "Does she find me attractive? How can I impress her?" instead of using the mindset of "Welp, I got no shot anyway, just be myself" that I subconsciously use with older women.

It doesn't help that I'm slightly narcissistic, that, coupled with low standards, makes me think I always have a shot (unless confronting a chick so out of my league I just give her a wave then leave the immediate area) and I always end up falling into the trap.

Thus this can only be overcome by practice. I did all this typing only to answer my own question

Funny you bring up knee issues.

I messed mine up Election Day 2008 playing football. It was fine for a while after, but backpedaling playing street hockey months later (probably about 4), my knee gives out. I've never broken a bone before, but I imagine this is a similar sensation. It kind of locks up, so I have to slowly bend it straight. It's agonizing. Eventually it feels like a bone or ligament rolls over and it pops back into place. It's sore for a bit after.

So this happened about 5 years ago. It'll pop out like that doing regular stuff like turning over in bed (happened twice in the year after original injury), once while twisting my body to grab something out of the back seat of my car. I'm always conscious of how my knee is bending, it just feels weak probably because I baby it.

So this happened yesterday as I was changing PS3 discs, hopping from ground to the couch. First time it's happened in probably 1.5, 2 years. This one was the worst, though. I was afraid it wasn't going to roll back into place.

My diagnosis is some tear in there. I went to the doctor's and was given a note to have an MRI done but never followed up on it. It's going to need surgery, and I can't afford that or time missed working. The struggle is real. I can manage it now, hoping it doesn't not go back into place. Plan is once I'm more financially secure and able to have it done, do so. Whenever that is.

Yeah. Going to get my birth certificate sometime in the next 2 weeks now that I have the money. Gotta learn how to fax and see if I can't get some type of express shipping to hurry up the process.
