Sports I like from the most to least

NFL > CFB > MLB > NHL > NBA >>>>>>>>>>>everything else

I think MMA gets a bad rap and while i'm not a fan of it I can see how it gets that reputation. There's a group that thinks it's two guys just groping around in a cage and then there's the group that thinks it's Gladiator come to life. It's somewhere in between IMO and while it doesn't appeal to me it does have a large appeal with the 18-25 demo.

I think once you hit 25 the appeal becomes less and less as time goes by.

I find MMA to be lowest common denominator and barbaric.

And I hate the culture around it as well, with the Affliction t-shirts and the douchebaggery.

I dunno, maybe I just don't see it, I've watched some and to me it just comes off as fist-fighting with kicking involved and the occasional wrestling move.Not my kind of sport.

If any of the people fighting in MMA were to come in with that sort of outlook on the sport, they would get dropped in a matter of seconds.

They train for a while and study their opponent's style and work on ways to counter and take advantage of it..

There's a whole lot that goes into it that will slip past the average person's eye un noticed.

Yeah there's definitely a lot of strategy involved in MMA. There's an MMA radio show on here and I usually listen to it every once in a while. There's a lot of good discussion on the tactics and such.

Like I said, it doesn't appeal to me but it's more than just punch, kick, wrestling move.

I don't really care about college baseball, hockey, golf, tennis or anything else.

I'll watch MMA matches when they're on but I don't follow it religiously. I don't think I could name more than 5 fighters.
