It's hard for me to say, he's not a best friend, but believe me, you would know him if you bumped into him. His name's Jesse key, and I'm pretty sure he was in Anchorage. Would have been probably 2 to 3 years ago.

Yea 09-12, if he was there you would have bumped into him.

Yeah, I don't think I could handle being a "father figure" or whatever yet. This is just the first time I've run into this situation. I know if there wasn't a kid involved there wouldn't be a problem at all. Not sure if it's fair to anyone (myself, her, or the child) to move forward or not, you know?

Hmmm. Name doesn't ring a bell. I'll have to look him up on global to double check.

Give it a shot. Definitely not fair to turn some one down just because they have one child. Women get overly depressed about that and by turning her down, you just feeding into the stereotype that single moms already think, which is nobody wants me, I am damaged goods because I have a child.

Which leads to more and more single moms giving their kid up for adoption because they figure hey, no man will date me with a child. My sister in law did that, TWICE. Both of her kids are adults now and live in our town. They have zero relationship with their mom, don't even speak to her in the store, nor do they let their kids know that is their grandma.

So if you don't want to date her, you should make it clear to her it was for other reasons and not simply because she have a child. If you going to end it, just end it right now after just 1 meeting. No need to string her along.

Disagree. If you aren't at a place in your life where you're ready for a kid or okay with the idea of being a step-dad, it's a perfectly valid reason for turning someone down. It's more way fair than dating her for awhile just to be nice.

I think the only way I'd date a girl with a kid is if I was pretty much 100% sure it was someone I could see myself marrying. Otherwise, F that.

Girl that I just graduated with last year had a kid midway through our senior year. She's a nice girl and was pretty all throughout high school and still looks good now, but I don't think I could do it. She's been texting me recently, but ****, I'm 18, I don't want to take care of a baby.

Minimum is 12 something while you can make up to 25.00 if you are consistent. Its full time, overtime is time and a half and Holidays are Triple Time. Its 8 hour shifts, 5 days a week.

They paid you $8.75 for 5 years of work? That seems like it isn't enough.

The job I had during college and the one I left before I became a superhero accountant I left there making 9.33 after 7 years.

Their highest rate of pay increase you could get was 3%. The year before I left they had frozen wages too because of the economy.

Suffice to say they have a high rate of turnover now.

Random, but the company I work for provides 12 weeks of paternity leave for dads...I didn't realize most company's offer significantly less....that sucks...moms need all the help they can get...

Reason I'm asking is Bestbuy included some things for pre-orders and I'm wondering how I will get them.
I pre-ordered Tomb Raider and picked it up at customer service. That's the only time I've ever pre-ordered at BB.

Good for you man! Hoping for the best. Us stock guys gotta stick together! As I posted a week ago, I got promoted recently, 3 dollar increase per hour, but the addition of full time hours (no more two jobs!), benefits, vacation, PTO makes it sweet. I believe in the company too, I know if anything happens they'll take care of me. Staff is amazing too. I was lucky to get hired into a good employee base in a good company. The comparison between my two jobs was night and day.

You busted your *** for under 9 in 5 years? Yeah man, you deserve this. It's amazing how some companies will take advantage of good workers... The grass is greener on the other side, I assure you.

                              Good luck again!

                                Re: dating women with kids

At your age Bruins (24), you could be ready for it. I'd say her age (20) is a bigger red flag. She still can't go to a bar yet. Now having a child has probably, hopefully helped her mature faster then most her age.

Really depends if YOU can handle it. If the girl is great, you'll probably end up falling in love with her child and maybe think of him/her as yours.

At least be honest with yourself and give it a try if you think you can do it. Don't want to miss your future wife because she has a little extra baggage...
