I don't know crap about cars, but I rode on a shot tire bearing embarrassingly long. It was loud and the car vibrated pretty seriously. Sounds like a good guess.

Question for the mechanics:
Whenever I drive forward there is a constant grating-squeak coming from my front driver's wheel. It stops when the car is stopped and not moving - braking doesn't really affect it and for some reason it doesn't make a noise when I'm going in reverse.
I'm thinking it could be a wheel bearing or possibly brakes, but I just wanted to get some ideas before I take somewhere later in the week.
Then again I am a financial planner, so I know next to nothing about vehicles.YNWAComment

Sounds like ya got a bad flange valve there. Ya just gotta take out the oil connector, maybe move the piston plugs around, and you'll find it. It's right there next to the main sail.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Anyone good with finances?
I bumped up the contribution to my 401K by $7.50 per paycheck. My employers contribution didn't change. How did my total taxes paid increase by $24.49?Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
No raise and I'm salaried so total gross income didn't rise, but my "Fed taxable gross" I see increased by $75. I have the 401K that taxes it going in, but the numbers still don't add up unless some kind of tax break ended.
My employer contribution did increase by $3.38.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 11-05-2013, 05:47 PM.Comment

401k contribution pre or post-tax?
Still not sure why the Federal taxable would go up, though.

Re: Off Topic 2013
Ya......... I'm stupid.
I forgot that I was given some rewards for a project I worked on and some other stuff. So that explains my Fed taxable being higher than my gross. It only being $75 doesn't add up though because it was more than that. Got HR looking at it just to be sure.Comment
