I don't have one of the "good" degrees, but the BA I received in the spring has already worked to my benefit in a field unrelated to my major. I simply couldn't have justified asking for the amount of money that I did (and received) without my possession of a bachelor's degree. I have no defined career path that I am attempting to follow, but I feel fairly optimistic that I'll be able to make a decent living in a few years as I continue to add to my work experience.

I have a BS in Accounting and I doubt I'd be making this much without it....obviously working in the field, though.

If you have a degree in Business, Science, History, English, Arts, or any other one of 1000s of different fields, best wishes to you.

Wait, now business degrees are useless? Or science?

College isn't the best option for everybody, but there are tons of fields that it is necessary, and it can certainly open up a lot of opportunities that wouldn't be there without it. Way more than just in education and Medical fields.

Wow, you guys that skip the whole semester of a class really suck.

The community college I'm attending now is a concentration camp. For every 3 classes you miss, your grade drops a letter.

It's like ****ing high school.

I challenged that **** multiple times. Only one teacher followed through with it. Had to take it again. Bitch.

Most of my teachers have the miss more then 2 and you're grade gets dropped thing, although I apparently had a 3rd which my one didn't count this semester. Most cases the ones I could skip were the 80+ lecture classes, harder to do now when the same exact 28 people are in every class for me now.

There are a lot of movies I've watched many many times whether it be because of a holiday tradition or simply because it's good and there is nothing else on.

But Remember the Titan's is in a league of it's own.

Whenever I see this movie on, I will not turn the channel until it's over.

Yeah, I only had two different instructors for 5 classes last semester, and I ended up failing my 9:00 a.m. Art History class because I just stopped going.

So I'm sitting here working on transcribing my old organic chem notes into OneNote (yeah, I know, ) when I feel something on the side of my right forearm while my hand was on my mouse so I reached over with my left hand to swat it away without really looking and was surprised by the size of whatever it was I swatted. Got my flashlight to look for it but couldn't find it so I went back to work only to feel it again a few seconds later in roughly the same spot. This time I looked and saw a nearly dime-sized bug on my arm and jerked out of surprise throwing it off. Grabbed my flashlight again then found it crawling on the armrest of my desk chair. Turned out to be a stinkbug. I calmly grabbed a napkin and crushed the bugger and tossed it in the garbage. I know you're not supposed to squish stinkbugs because that releases their namesake stink, but I can't smell anyway so I didn't really care. Also, sorry, I didn't think to snap a picture of it to post here since I know how much you guys love when people post pictures of big ugly bugs they find in their homes

I had attendance be 10% of the grade a lot. So you could only drop 1 letter. My entire college career I never had a Friday class or a class that started before 9:25 so making it to class was never a problem. Plus I usually ended up spending more time trying to get caught back up then I would have if I had just shown up.
