We got free tickets to the Go Daddy bowl and the original price is $45. Who's gonna pay $45 to see Ball St and Arkansas St?

Could've gotten free tickets and field pass type thing to the New Orleans bowl but I didn't ask in time.

Welp, I think the time has come to have the talk with Girl With Boyfriend. Last night I was at work and got a text from her saying "I'm coming into work later but [boyfriend's name] is coming with me, so if I don't come up and talk to you don't think it's because I'm ignoring you". And of course they come and it's awkward as ****. 1. We don't talk to each other, and 2. Dude is completely oblivious to the situation...probably doesn't know I slept at her house Friday and Saturday night (no, I didn't shoplift the pooty, her mom made us sleep in separate rooms). I just want a resolution. Sick of having to hide everything. Gonna try to do it in person, but if she can't I might just call her tomorrow and get it over with.

Dude, this situation just sounds more and more outrageous the more you talk about it. Just some observations/questions:

1. Presumably the girl's mom knows she has a boyfriend, yet she's totally ok to let you sleep over the house, but "mom" enough to make you guys sleep in separate rooms?

2. How long has this girl been dating the other dude? Does the mom either not know they're dating or believe the relationship is on the outs/doesn't like the guy?

3. Are you just not making the moves? Or is your conscience holding you back? Or is the girl giving you the Heisman because she's still technically with the other dude?

So much other stuff comes to mind, and please don't feel compelled to go into detail if you're not comfortable, but my point is these are all things that immediately pop into my head as an outside "observer" who knows pretty much nothing about you, and I'd just say it paints the picture of a lose-lose situation for you in my eyes. Not that my opinion matters.

I haven't exactly had many girlfriends cause well being single in college is so much fun, but there is a point where you accept you're just friends with a girl and keep it at that until maybe anything random happens.

1. Yeah...we were laying together on her couch and both of us fell asleep...her mom woke us up and made us separate. I was chilling on the couch while she (the girl, not her mom) went to get changed and she came out with a blanket, laid next to me, put her arm around my chest and her head on my shoulder. That could go either way with friend zone/not friend zone...hard to tell. I've been best friends with a girl for years and we've never even come close to cuddling or anything of that nature. That's friend zone to me.

2. They've been together for a little more than 2 years, I believe, so her mom obviously knows. I don't know what she thinks of the kid.

3. Conscience is definitely holding me back. I don't want to feel like I'm forcing her to cheat. There were some other circumstances which led to me not trying to make a move, but I really can't get into that. It's a crucial part of the situation, but I really can't get into it.

Well, you sound like you probably have the "nice guy" mentality based on what you've said, and I don't necessarily mean that as a bad thing. I only know what you've posted in here about it, so I'm not gonna speak on things I don't know, but it seems like there's some red flags here.

I know people like to pick on JJ but this doesn't really sound like a friend zone situation at all as long as the stories he's told us are accurate.

First, if he was being "friend zoned", she wouldn't warn him ahead of time and then ignore him when she came into his store with her boyfriend. If she were friend zoning him, she wouldn't hesitate to talk to him with her boyfriend there as a friend of hers.

Also, I've never known of anyone in the "friend zone" who has the girl lay on a couch with him, none of this really makes me think JJ is in the zone here.
