As I went back again, I slowly got used to the people and they became nicer. I think it could just be a thing of cultures and different ways of life clashing, but I'm not sure. In the south, I actually found most people friendly, so I kind of found the opposite as you, but you've lived there, and I've only visited each place 2 or 3 times.
I was being a little cheeky, but my point was that folks in the north aren't all frosty and that all Southerners aren't all friendly.

Again, it all depends on who you encounter, under what circumstances, etc. Strolling through a park in both places, people seem friendly enough.

I'll add that I'm west coast biased, but acknowledge that the South has a generally friendlier vibe, as I noted in my post

There are stuck up, busy, or introverted people everywhere you go.

I just try to smile at most people I meet and be a happy person. That may be why a lot of people say hey to me. Hell, random people wave at me all the time driving down the road and I don't have the slightest clue who they are.

I also get that "biker wave" a lot too when I'm out riding a motorcycle.

People were mad nice in Arizona. Got the friendliest greetings at a Circle K. Would never see that type of stuff at a Wawa around here.

If my time at the airport there means anything, people in Chicago are dicks. Would explain Mo as well.

It's back to being hot as balls outside and I DO NOT like it.

Got to work this morning and there were two trucks with vehicles waiting on us. I woke up early, felt refreshed despite running 3 miles, doing 50 crunches, and 30 pushups yesterday. I thought I would come in to work a little early.. not the best idea in the world.

Yeah I was actually thinking about changing mine.

Might do that today. Idk, I feel like if you're going to do the number thing, it can't be a single digit.
