Housekeepers in dorms? We called them janitors. You guys trying to sound fancy out here.

They came every day to vacuum the common halls and clean the common bathrooms. **** got serious on the weekends. I heard horror stories about our floor's girls bathrooms. Living in dorms was nice for a year. But you guys gotta get on that campus apartment lane asap. My senior year the school rented out badass private apartments and made them available through the school at a significant discount. I felt like a king for that last year.

Oh and **** RAs. I almost killed the male RA on my floor my freshman year. He was born a complete dick.

Janitors and housekeepers aren't the same. Janitors do cleaning and repairs, housekeepers just do cleaning. Maintenance did repairs at college.

The dorm I stayed in my freshman year at college was one where two adjacent rooms shared a bathroom in the middle, so there was a door on either side of the bathroom.

Literally the first time I ever use the damn thing and one of the guys from the other room walked in on me taking a ****. I learned to lock both doors.

Plus there was like 5 people using that bathroom, so it was always like a game of chicken to see who would take the trash out first. Not to mention I don't know if any of these dudes are jerking it in the shower I'm standing on. I wore rubber sandals in there lol.

So, as of right now, I'm supposed to have my first ever "first date" tomorrow night after work.

I say that because, of all my previous girlfriends, we had hung out in big groups or at work or something before we really started dating/hanging out alone. This one I've seen once, at a bar, two years ago. Somehow I left a lasting impression and she seems quite interested in our hanging out tomorrow.

Who knows. I think we're just going out to a bar or something, we haven't ironed it out but since it'll probably be 9, that seems like it might be the plan.

I'm not nervous. I'm just intrigued about how this is all going to work. At least it's a step in the right direction.

Yeah I had one of those type of bathrooms in my freshman summer dorm, the other 2 guys constantly would lock the door and not unlock it.

Closest thing we have to a housekeeper at Stout is the weird old lady who cleans the bathrooms and spends the rest of her day watching soap operas in one of the study rooms in the basement.


We do however, have a muffin lady who sits outside on of the academic buildings Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings and gives out free muffins.

Liked for muffins!

I doubt I could have done dorm life...unless I had my own room.

Yea I had to go knock on their door a couple times when our suitemates would do that. The one dude would like leave his dorm early and then have his alarm clock going off all morning. *******.

I've made it through the first two, never made it through the third.

Probably started and stopped about five times too.

It's a fantastic show, I don't know why I haven't finished it.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. FWIW took me three tries to get through Season 1 of "The Wire".
