At a place like Penn State that has nearly 50k students, I could totally see bars selling that much...random guess, but I'd bet at least half of that 50k are 21 and over, and considering the fact that most people start drinking at 8AM, they could swing 5 grand easy.

But selling 5 grand worth of product is very different from being handed 5 grand and not losing an ounce of alcohol.

That's a no brainer of a decision for a bar owner with the only real concern being lack of return business in the future which in a place like State College is not a real concern.

Went to the mall to get some new shirts, idk why anyone would spend $60+ on a simple collared polo shirt when you can get something that looks just as good for $20

Seriously...some professors are power hungry morons.

I wrote a paper for a class that had this written on it, "This was the best paper I've read on the subject. C+. You were 2 words short of the limit."

Really? I'm so glad that was such an important criteria.

Sheesh, that is pretty ridiculous. Was the limit a miniumum or maximum?

So I've been doing temp work between my college classes at the place that I work at night to earn some extra money.

It's me and two girls (no, they're not) in a room going through files picking out all the paperclips and micro-cassettes and plastic **** so they can be shredded.

Anywho, and the real point of this story, one of the girls decides she's going to play music today. Which, fine, whatever. And then she goes Britney Spears as her music selection. Unrelentingly, unwaveringly, and unapologetically for FOUR AND A HALF ****ING HOURS.

Suicide was considered, and ultimately decided against. Barely.

For they can brag how much it cost them.

That kind of reminds me of the advertising campaign for a local mall. The ads start out by showing a person and saying they spent some large amount of money on some item at some store and then show another person and say they got the same item plus a bunch of accessories for the same price.

When I was in high school, girbaud jeans was all the craze among kids whose parents were rich. One pair of pants from that brand was $125. Sweatshirt was $80. Then I remember about 10 or 13 years ago red monkey clothing line was hot. Their price was about the same.

I agree, it's just going to create mayhem...for example, the liquor stores there (also closing) are getting wiped out as I type this. The lines are insane.

Good thing nobody was there.

I'm guessing people were still in there. Thankfully it seems people smelled the gas and started to leave the area before it blew. Read there are people at at least two hospitals so far.
