Yes its great for news and on-the-fly updates. Even if you never tweet its nice at getting information.

Yeah, I pretty much use mine for news (local here and then back home) and some of the random games/teams/sports I follow. That and OSers.

It's a cesspool, in all honesty, but with some of the different front-ends out there you can filter out all the stuff you don't want to see.

I have a Twitter acccount but only use it for Padres updates and all their minor league affiliates. Also, I like the up to the minute info around the trade deadline...

Other than that, I don't know what half the tweets are or what they mean... But can follow simple score and stat updates... Lol

Twitter is probably the only social media I use anymore. Since one of the latest Facebook app updates were uploading users information I deleted it and never used Facebook again. Besides, my family has my number and my friends who dont, well they know my twitter handle. I'm good.

Actually Google+ kinda interests me only because some tech stuff I read/follow update there more than anywhere else.

Hard to tell from the screengrab if he's really that big because it looks like the perspective may be throwing it off. Is there a screengrab of him from another angle?
