It was my boys birthday so I headed out to the city to chill. My other boy invited an old flame of mine because she was the birthday boy's friend too (but really he did to have fun with the awkward situation me and her would cause).

So more or less I spent 5 hours in an awkward situation that was only made more awkward by my friend who kept asking us suggestive questions about the relationship (failure of the relationship).


I owe him one; and it will be glorious revenge.

Something eerily (sp?) similar happened to me last night so I'll share. One of my friends I haven't hung out with in a while calls me and invites me over for a pool party at his house.

So I arrive and run into some other people I know and everything is pretty chill. Then someone pulls up and he looks at me and says, " Chase, a guy I work with is coming over and his girlfriend is with him. I'm thinking. Okay, why do I care. Then he says, " It's that girl Nikki you used to mess with".

. I used to work with her and we had a small thing going, we never went on an official date. It was just a physical thing for a while.

Anyways, I got stuck on the same volleyball team as this girl and had to spend my night looking at her in a very flattering bikini and it was obvious we both were trying hard not to be awkward.

It's been a month since the split. I'd say I'm better at this moment, but I'm still really depressed about it all. It just doesn't make sense to me how this could happen.

Making matters worse is when I started dating her and got serious with her all but 1 of my friends were single. But now seemingly all of them are in relationships and potentially marriage material relationships. Meanwhile I'm starting over and have 0 prospects outside of a friend's step-sister I haven't even met yet. We seem like we'd be a good match but the kicker is there are very few chances to meet her. I'm hoping to meet her at some point before college football season kicks off in 3 weeks.

Going to Hilton Head next week for a Family Vacation. Any spots you'd recommend checking out to an out of towner? Also going to be in Charlotte for a day as well so if anybody has any places out there to get something to eat, that'd be greatly appreciated as well.

Who wants to help me blow up the bridge over the Susquehanna on I95? Damn toll is up to $8 now. EIGHT ****ING DOLLARS TO CROSS A BRIDGE. And no, avoiding isn't really an option. If you take US40, you still pay $8, otherwise you drive a good 30+ minutes out of the way, though at $8, that 30 minutes seems more worth it now.

Everytime I go up north, I just take the Bay Bridge since it's the only toll that I would have to pay. No way am I going to spend $15-$16(not sure how much the toll is crossing into Delaware via 95)just to leave Maryland.

If you to pay every toll going from DC into Delaware, you'd pay $4 at the tunnels in Baltimore (avoidable, but you have to drive through the ghetto of downtown Baltimore), $8 on I95 or US40, and then I think it is $4 going north on I95 in Delaware (10 minute detour and you save the money). Then I think there is another toll crossing into NJ? I can't recall as I've never gone that way.

You probably go the way my friend did when she and I went to the Dover race. It always just seemed out of the way to me and slower since it is smaller highways vs. I95/I495, but looks like it is only an extra 10 miles and 15 minutes. I'm considering it next time.

And it looks like the bay bridge toll is $6 now, but that one $6 toll eastbound is a lot less than the $12-$16 round trip it costs me now.

Used to go to Hilton Head every summer. There is this pretty nice Tiki bar right on the beach we went to thats a pretty popular place. I recommend during the day renting a bike and take a tour of Sea Pines. Some ridiculous nice houses. Shelter Cove Harbor is also a nice place to go during the evening. On Tuesdays I believe there's a concert for kids and a huge fireworks display over the cove.
