lol, I watched Family Guy today for first time in months because the preview for todays episode made it seem like a great episode.

And in that episode:

They killed Brian(I think legitimately wrote him off the show)

But what makes me mad..the scenes in the commercial never actually aired in the show! They flat out said that the preview was for this episode, but none of that happened(based on the preview,it made me believe maybe the episode that aired today was part 2...but nothing makes sense!)

I didn't see the episode so I didn't read the spoiler, but I thought the previews indicated the "event" would happen this season, not this episode, so any of the scenes from the preview could happen any time throughout the year.

Looking around, turns out the commercial was wrong. The commercial made it seem like what happened in the commercial was supposed to happen this episode, but turns out they just used footage from old episodes(that related to what was being shown in this episode).

Cause this episode did have the time machine in it, but the commercial ended up using old footage from previous episodes that had the time machine.

I've given up on the show months ago,and only watched this one cause preview sounded great, but now I'm back to not caring about it unless an episode has a great sounding preview(which by the sounds of it,won't happen until

At the beginning of the series, I might have cared, because Brian was a compelling character. As the series went on, though, he became, in my eyes, annoying, whiny and predictable, much like the show as a whole. So I honestly don't care anymore.

The second he died, I really didn't care,not cause of the reason you stated, but just cause it had the whole "he'll be back...." feel to it. I still think they'll find some way to bring him back eventually. They'll prob see how the ratings get impacted with Brian gone and if it makes no difference(or drops) they'll bring him back.

Not that I care though,cause this was the only Family Guy episode I've watched in past several months.

And I don't know why everyone's freaking out, I'm sure he's coming back at some point. I haven't seen it, but the conceit for him being dead is apparently that Stewie can't find a time machine part to bring him back. And they never showed the driver who hit him. Gee, wonder if Brian hit himself in some weird time thing.

They had Stewie destroy his time machine, Brian got hit by a car, Stewie tried rebuilding his time machine(but the part he needed for it is no longer made anywhere) and Griffins just replaced Brian with Sopranos Dog.

Also...looking at the car that did kill Brian, it looks just like Brians car....Maybe it really was Brian from the future coming back to stop himself from doing something?
