True story: we once had a guy try to run over a police officer when he was fleeing the scene of a car break-in, got into a vehicle pursuit, and he jumped and ran and we were unable to catch him at that time. So we just towed the vehicle and signed out a ton of warrants on the guy.

Indian man may have been killed by meteorite
According to authorities, the first person in modern history has been killed by a meteorite.
The chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa Jayaram, said that a 40-year-old bus driver died after being struck by a meteorite just after noon on Saturday. The pieces of the object also impacted the nearby grounds of a college in Tamil Nadu, India.

A 12-year-old Indian girl has an ant problem. Hundreds of them continue to live inside her head, with a dozen or so emerging from her ears every day, despite repeated attempts to kill the colony.
Doctors have pulled hundreds of the big ants — dead and alive — from Shreya Darji’s ears since the girl from Deesa, Gujarat, complained of ear pain last August.

I figured as much. I've heard plenty of stories of individual insects becoming lodged in a person's external ear canal, but to have an entire colony of ants living inside there head would be physiologically impossible. Pedestrians struck by blow darts on Golden Gate Bridge
(CNN) —Police in California are asking for the public's help after two people walking on the Golden Gate Bridge were hit with blow darts.
The victims were struck Friday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said in a statement. They were evaluated by paramedics at the scene and released.
"Right now, we are hoping to narrow down exactly where they were and at what time," said CHP spokesman Andrew Barclay.

Severed feet — still inside shoes — keep washing up on the West Coast
What these scavengers sought remains a prickling curiosity: severed feet attached to running shoes, washed up from origins unknown.
Sixteen of these detached human feet have been found since 2007 in British Columbia, Canada, and Washington state. Most of these have been right feet. All of them have worn running shoes or hiking boots. Among them: three New Balances, two Nikes and an Ozark Trail.
