Agreed. I would be fine if they were just used on actual Holiday, but shooting them every night the week before and the week after the holiday is what gets old..

Nah man, **** people and their happiness in celebrating a holiday.

For me it's more about annoying *** neighbors launching away several days before and after. I stayed home for a reason, if dudes want to go to the fireworks festivals I won't bitch about it, nothing wrong with that at all, but when I stay home and still can't avoid the noise that's where it bothers me.

Plus I've never been around a dog that was cool with fireworks, it makes me sad when the dogs are all panicky and need comfort. What if I went to the festival and left the lil guy home, only to be bombarded with explosive noises and no way to cope

Wow…crazy that you posted this. My poor Golden Retriever is freaking out tonight…people are shooting stuff off and she is shaking like crazy. Never have I seen her this bad.

I don't hate fireworks but I can't stand them for two reasons:

1. People using them 2 weeks before AND after 4th of July.

2. My dog is completely terrified of them. If she hears them she trembles uncontrollably.

Other than that fireworks are awesome.

My dog is absolutely terrified of fireworks. And since I'm going out of town early in the morning, he's currently boarded at the vet - another place he hates.

Fireworks + Vet = Absolute hell for my poor dog.

Since I moved back to Denver 3 weeks ago, there have been fireworks literally every night. My dog gets terrified and nothing has worked to settle her down. She's already broken two lamps because she tries to climb on things. I'm worried that the constant stress every night is shortening her life. I've called the cops numerous times the last two weeks, but I understand there really isn't anything they can do.

Hopefully there's only another week of this.

Just because I'm not a fan of fireworks doesn't mean that others can't. Was just sharing my opinion on them. Because, you know, this is an opinion thread.

Fixed that for you. Men's finals are almost always great. Women's finals are usually miserably unwatchable. There's some unofficial rule in women's tennis that one of the finalists has to be there for the first time and completely fold under the pressure of her first final in a major.
