    This should be common.

Pre-ordering games is bad, and the effect it has on the industry is bad as well.

I don't hold it against anybody, do you... but just know that you are contributing to a bad practice.

I like waiting for flash sales, I finally downloaded Far Cry 3 off my queue after 2+ years sitting and waiting for me, I think I picked it up for $4 at the time, tomorrow is wide open to dig into it

Same. With deep discounts via Steam and other sites, it has taught me to be a patient gamer unless it's something I really, really want. With most games having season passes and DLC, I just pick it all up later to enjoy it in one package.

The past couple of years the only games I've preordered have been through Amazon due to their Prime discount. Spider-Man might be might last pre-order since Amazon won't be doing that anymore, though.

Steam is the ****ing worst! I've bought more games in the last month and a half than the last year.

dont care what they say, there are such things as stupid questions. spent 35 minutes in the drive-thru at the local Taco Bell. ordered crunchy taco supremes & cinnamon twists but when I finally made it to the window, girl tells me they're out of twists. then she asks me if I want her to remove them from the order. : |

Slow drivers are far more dangerous then fast drivers. It’s great that you feel safe going 25 in a 45, but you’re endangering the rest of us by causing unnecessary congestion, frustration and higher likelihood of people being reckless to get around you. If you don’t feel safe driving, don’t drive. I don’t care if you’re young, old, new, whatever. You don’t get to impose your own limitations on everyone else on the road. Sorry.

Also, if you’re going to obey the speed limit to the T (which is fine), you should probably obey the other laws like using turn signals. That kills me.

The worst: people who fluctuate speed. We’re going fast! *3 seconds later* anddddd we’re back down to 10 under the speed limit.

I go through these situations EVERY day. One of the highways I've been driving every day for years has speed limit signs posted that say 55. It's a two lane road with minimal passing zones and people go 40-45 all the time. It's either they are going too slow or you're going 60 and someone is still riding your back bumper. There is no in-between.

Then on the interstate this morning I'm driving behind a creeper van (the ole Chevy Astro Van) and the speed limit posted is 70. I have my cruise on 75 so I put on my signal to get over in the fast lane and pass him. As soon as his front tire is at my rear quarter panel the guy speeds back up to 80+ so I got back in the middle lane. I rolled back up on him again so I go around him again and the same thing happens. He did this 4 times before I finally got around him and merged back into the middle lane.

I never changed my speed.. cruise was set on 75 the whole time.

This is probably more of a gear grinder, but I just wanted to say I deal with it every day man.

Since we're touching on traffic - can we please discuss the correct way to merge? Obviously there are different situations (closed lane, traditional merge onto interstate, and mountain climbing), but after a recent post about Zipper Merging I'm curious.

Apparently the Zipper Merge is the "correct" way to merge which, in theory, sounds great, but considering most drivers are absolute idiots with no awareness or drive with a chip on their should I rarely see this working as intended in practice.

Right, that sounds good in theory, but we all know that doesn't really work in practice. You'd need stop/go lights similar to what on-ramps have to make this actually successful.

To me the "use all available real estate" is more of an excuse to simply cut people off and back up traffic even more.

I’ve come around to the zipper merge, but it really does depend on the behavior of the drivers at the point of merge. I go through a “form single lane” merge every day and some days it’s stop start stop start and others it’s a steady consistent pace under the same traffic conditions.

A lot of people are weirdly competitive on the road. I also think there’s some mental thing going on where if someone passes you, you kind of realize you’ve slowed down and compensate by speeding back up... right as they pass you. I’ve tried to keep this in mind when driving, but you gotta call bad drivers bad drivers sometimes.
