I should post this in the Took Too Long To Realize thread but what the hell, I'll just drop it here: For the longest I thought it was ''Horrorscope.''

If you ever come across someone that treats them like religion and low-key demands you let them “chart” you or whatever they call it, it does become a horrorscope real quick.

I'd call this uncommon given most places don't do it/care, but there should be a rule on google maps that businesses that have menu photos must have them updated every year (even if prices haven't changed).

I know most of the time it's just a customer taking the pic 4 years ago, but when you don't have a website and there's really no way for people to know your items and prices beforehand outside of actually going in person, something as simple as a pic of your menu goes a long way, but if that pic isn't even recent, then that turns me away from even thinking about a place.

I don't even bother with food pics for various reasons. I just want to see what the menu is. With apps, internet and all that today, if it's too much of a chore to find what you offer then people will just skip you.

How many people just walk into a place having no idea who they are, what their menu is or how much anything costs?

spontaneous people frustrate me lol, I wish I could be that way, I can't think on the fly, It's comforting to have a plan before I go out. The ability to go out with no plan and figure things out on the fly is inconceivable to me

I definitely need to plan things in advance.

Someone suggests going to some random place, great...now it's scrambling google their menu and see what they have because I don't want to get to the front of the line at a place and still have no idea what I'm actually getting.

Even something like going on vacation, I'm planning out food routes in advance because it's obviously an area I'm unfamiliar with so I want to see what places they have nearby and what menu options those places have rather than just show up there and drive around to see what places they have.

That's what lead to the original post. So many places there don't have menus. If I could find local/smaller places with good menu prices and all that I would try them out, but if I can't find the menus for them and don't know their prices or what food they even sell, I'm opting for the familiar big chain places.

I am the same, through therapy and a real forced effort I'm learning to do this little by little. My main issue has been anxiety from planning so to fix this is paramount and so far I'm really happy with where I'm at with it.

My danger is to avoid doing like EA does with their football games (I keed I keed) and that is go too far to the other end, ie become irresponsibly reckless about lack of planning, LOL

I like bacon, but its overrated. I know people who go overboard andwant it wrapped around e erything , including donuts. Yuk.
I do like it but I pretty much limit ittoBacon cheeseburgers and baconand eggs. In fact, I need to post it in the Quirky Things thread, when I order a bacon cheeseburger, I take the bacon off and eat it separate.
To sum, bacon good, not great.

I agree, they take something great like bacon and put it on anything and everything and then it's like, you're overdoing it, it's like Regis Philbin and the "Is that your final answer" show

Neither of you will want to hear this then but since I don't eat sweets, for our wedding, instead of each of us giving the other a piece of cake we gave we each other a piece bacon because I will eat it with anything lol.

You could go Bubba Gump with bacon and all the strange things people started doing with it since, I guess what really took off in the nineties. Bacon salt, baconnaise, chicken-fried bacon, bacon ice cream, chocolate-covered bacon, bacon flavored rolling papers, bacon bubble gum, bacon vodka, bacon band-aids, bacon air freshener, bacon alarm clocks that wake you up to the smell of bacon, bacon brassieres, vegetarian bacon, the Bacon Bulleit bourbon cocktail with lemon and Maple syrup. I admit I used to eat bacon bits like tic-tacs when I was a teenager but we are all allowed our youthful indiscretions.

how do you smash bacon on each other's faces though? I'd rather have cake on my face than a bunch of bacon grease

The problem with eating something with bacon is... once you put it on/in, you just taste the bacon.

Now, I have been eating bacon recently with my breakfast foods (been doing a lot of eggs and waffles), and have consequently found my LDL shooting up the past three months, so I'm going to ease off of it again. So I like the food, but yeah I don't need it on everything.
