I'd say KG is top 10 all-time, considering what he's accomplished.

I'm not looking to piss of the baseball fans here...but I'd be more interested in the sport if the season were half as long. 82 games of ANYTHING is about my maximum attention threshold. I know it'll never happen, though.

I get why people say that but I like the fact that almost any night during the season I can watch my favorite team play. I just watch baseball differently than other sports. I don't necessarily sit down and watch from first pitch through last pitch that often during the season. But I like that the option is there, and I like that even if your busy, and there's only a couple nights a week you have time to sit down and watch a game, you can be pretty sure your team will be playing those nights. I really like that all the sports have different formats.

And there are other teams, but they have players who were arguably top 5 guys when they retired. Not going to debate whether or not Duncan was a top-5 player in '07, Dirk in '11, etc.

If you want to, group Dirk in with that group and that's 3 teams in the last 20-30 years that have won without a Top 5 NBA Player(which is subjective BTW).

1. KG was arguably a top 5 player in 08.
2. Detroit is literally the only other example. Exception to the rule doesn't even begin to describe how random that result was.

So, here's a question: Would you consider Dirk circa 2011 a top 5 player? I'm not sure I would with Lebron, Kobe, Durant, Rose, Wade, Anthony etc... around, so in that case I say that Mavs team counts. Were Joe Dumars or Isaiah Thomas top five players in their two championship seasons? I don't think you can make that case. So I think there are more exceptions going through history.
