I mean no offense to you or anyone that uses Beats as a fashion statement, but

When I see someone wearing them, I don't think "aw man those are so cool and stylish", I think "he/she spent SO much for those. SMH"

I just paid for a $150 pair of noise canceling headphones. It's not like the Beats or anything, just looks like a normal pair of headphones, but they have the circuitry and microphones that cancel out a lot of the ambient noise. IMO it's worth it for airplane flights and I use them at work and helps take away distraction noise.

I happen to be someone that gets distracted easily by random chatting and whatnot, and sometimes I need to focus in and ignore all that. Headphones help.

I do agree though, I'm not an audiophile and don't see the need for $400 headphones that look hideous (I mean "cool" lol)

Maybe I'm not in the circles that see someone's headphones and think "man you look awesome in those", I dunno....

I don't use beats and I 100% agree. They're really overpriced. That being said, a quality pair of $100-$150 headphones makes a world of difference.

Bristol is really fun. There's so much action and the seating gives you a really cool perspective on things. I've also been to races at Atlanta, Daytona, and Talladega.

I've only sat in the stands once at Talladega. Every other time, I've been in the camp ground and infield. Now that is a damn fun party to be at.

I know people probably don't care about NHRA like I do, but those are also a lot of fun.

I would love to go to Bristol and Charlotte, but most of the time I wait for them to come to Martinsville. I live 10 minutes from the track so it's pretty convenient(except for the race traffic, as I work 1 minute away from the track. See "Grinds my Gears" thread). Talladega would've been nice back in my party days (I have a co-worker that goes every year tells the tales).

NHRA is an ok watch on TV, but there is nothing like it in person. The feeling of over 8,000 horsepower echoing in your bones is unlike any other.

Poker on TV is the worst idea ever. I cannot understand how it gets ratings...

I agree with this. It's not on tv as much in my area anymore. 4-5 years ago it was on ALL the time on all the sports channels. Poker is NOT a sport!!!!

Golf is not a sport.

Golf is more of a sport than baseball.. IMO.

Edit: Professional golf, not weekend golf and legal DUI's on golf carts, though its close.

I think Golf is one of the toughest if the not the toughest mental sport. Baseball is still more of a sport though.

First off, this is opinion, and I'm just spouting **** off the top of my head. But...

Let's take a 3rd baseman for example. He myte... MYTE have to be active for a total of 3 minutes on defense. On offense, he's probably on the pine an average of about 2 innings and gets up to bat about 4 times a game? Throw in a dive or 2 every now and then, and that should nail it.

Golfer, after the first drive, is active for 3 minutes walking to his ball. Walking? Yes, I know. Active? Yes. These guys walk on average about 6,500 to 7,000 yards per day, 4 to 5 days a week. They probably cover more distance in a day than baseball players do in a week.

Also, I feel like there are more overweight ball players than golfers. Now, before someone posts a picture of Angel Cabrerra or John Daly, check out some of the pitchers for these teams.

Again, just my opinion.

I'm not saying it's easy, and the skill set involved in each individual sport is unique in itself. Hitting a 95-mph fastball in play requires great skill and technique-not arguing that.

But you try hitting a golf ball 350 yards and landing it within 20 to 25 yards of fairway.

No, they probably walk around in 30 foot radius when the ball isn't in play.
