Re: Uncommon Opinions
It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. They think that people won't see the movies, so they don't market it or put it in theaters, so the movies don't make money and studios think that there is no interest. The studios are risk-averse, which makes some sense since there's so much money involved, but it leads to them only putting money behind the types of movies that they think are safe. It's no wonder that most people would see the Transformers-type movie over Requiem For A Dream when the Transformers movie has an ad every 30 seconds. I keep up with the movie industry and even I forget when stuff comes out and/or I don't get a chance to see a movie that I wanted because it's in some small theater 20 miles from where I live, only playing twice a day.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Live Events (sporting events, concerts, etc.) are overrated. I'd rather watch from the comfort of my own home and not have to deal with the idiots.

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Depends on what sport for me. NFL games are terrible live compared to the home experience. Hockey is the exact opposite.Comment

I've only been to one hockey game, a Lindenwood women's game, and it was incredible. I was easily impressed since it was my first game.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Baseball:
If its a nice cool sunny night or afternoon, nothing beats heading out to the ballpark. The smells, the sounds, the food it's great. If it's early or late in the year, or it is raining (I've been to a game where it even snowed in Buffalo) then it sucks
Football:
If you get good seats away from the drunks (like a club or upper sideline) and again if the weather is good then it is really fun.
Basketball:
I've gone to one game and it was so much better live, loved the atmosphere
Hockey;
Nothing is better than a live hockey game, as a avid hockey fan the atmosphere and being able to see stuff live that you cant see on TV it is amazing.Buffalo Bills

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I've been to one football and one baseball game. Football I'd rather watch at home most occasions (wouldn't mind attending a playoff or division game with seats where you can see the field good). Baseball was only fun because we taunted Brady Anderson the whole game.
I don't watch hockey, but I have a desire to attend at least one hockey game. It just seems like it would be a blast.
As for concerts it really depends on how well the band is and how the audience is. Most concerts have been great, but sometimes the crowd tries to ruin it.
