As weird as it is, there are a few really good Mexican places in my home town. It's one of the only upsides to the food selection.

The chinese is about American as it gets and it's really good, but the Mexican places are really authentic and delicious.

I wouldn't cite the quality of play as the reason I prefer the NFL, I don't totally know what it is.

Probably living in Packers country, I would imagine. You just get immersed in it around here. I'd imagine it's the same for anybody who lives in a major college town.

I was commenting that I love the burracos we make at home more than what I can get at any restaurant. Especially around these parts.

I think this is more of an immersion thing rather than an uncommon opinion. There are a LOT of people who watch both college and pro that prefer the atmosphere and such of the collegiate game to the pros.

There's more of a bonding experience with the college game especially if you're able to go to the games and it seems to be a lot more intense when there's a big game going on. You do get that feeling at times in the pro game (at least in football) but it's a bit muted. I'm not quite sure why.

I like both equally. There are some things from each that bug me though.

Another reason I can't get into college sports nearly as much as pro sports is the turnover of players. You'll never have that franchise player like a Ray Lewis type of guy that plays for the same team for 17 years. Often times in college football, the real "star" players are only starters for about 2 years before they go pro. In basketball, it's been one and done.

The NFL is making it really hard for me to stay interested with all these ridiculous rules they're putting into place. As for the NBA, the Sonics don't exist and David Stern runs a crooked league. My personal hierarchy is:

                1. College Basketball
                2. MLB
                3. NHL
                4. Soccer (mostly EPL)
                5. College Football
                6. NFL
                7. NBA

I enjoy the turnover of players in college football. It brings a whole new level of strategy and teams are always evolving.

Like Kingkilla said (holy **** I agree with something he said) I think the turnover adds to the sport. In pro sports if you can build a team you can be set for 3-4 years, with the exception being baseball because of the minors and even then you only have to really develop 3-4 guys at a time to stay consistent.

In college sports, there's the pressure to constantly produce. As cliche as it may sound, if you're rebuilding instead of re-loading, you're losing. Look at Auburn, they got Cam Newton and he was one of like 3 players a decade who more or less win the national championship by themselves. Cam left, Chiz had to rebuild, he got exposed and well...you saw what happened.

I have a theory that's unproven that college coaches don't do as well in the NFL because the workload is somewhat smaller and they do too much.

With that said, the one and done is ridiculous and does kill basketball. Recruiting is important in college sports, but so is developing your players.

I'd like to see the three-year rule applied all across the board from basketball to baseball to soccer and lacrosse

So these kids should be forced to play 3 YEARS for free just to make the coaches job easier and so you can enjoy the sport more? Oh ok, that sounds fair.

That's kind of ironic to say.

I guess it's just my view that what determines a good game is 50% graphics 40% gameplay 10% everything else.

There's a reason I haven't played High Heat for years now, and haven't played MVP in 3 years.

See, that's the disconnect. I'm about 75% gameplay, 10% graphics and 15% everything else. Shining a turd still just gives you a shiny turd.

Back on the subject of Mexican food:

If I walk in a Mexican restaurant and they don't make their own hand made tortillas, I'd just as soon walk out and go to Taco Bell.
