    Re: Uncommon Opinions

Don't know if it's uncommon, but I hate the fact that so many people have the exact same ringtone.

So many people I know or just other people who work in other areas have the same default iPhone ringtone.

I don't get how you don't bother to change it, or why you don't just have your phone on vibrate (don't more people use vibrate than those with ringtones nowadays?)

If you're just using the same default ringtone as others, how do you not get "jumpy" when you hear anyone else's phone thinking its yours because everyone else has that same ringtone.

I just have my phone on vibrate (that's more than enough to get my attention) plus my watch is synced to my phone so my phone vibrates and my watch does too so that's all that's needed to get my attention to alert me that someone's calling.

I don't even have it on vibrate lol. Silent all/mute, but it vibrates briefly if I have a text or missed call. The default Android ringtone is definitely used heavily, I hear it all the time. I miss those early cell phone ring tones, where you could barely pick out what the song was it was so generic sounding. Like 8 bit Nintendo sound font. And they somehow charged money for those. Insane.

I never use tones, but even then I have mine set to a specific thing that's different than others.

Even vibrate, I don't usually have my ringer on unless I'm somewhere where it needs to be on/I need to answer or know I have a message asap like at work.

My ringtone is Sweetness by Jimmy Eat World.

"If you're listenin', whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh... sing it back, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh!"

The problem is, now when that song pops up on my iTunes, I immediately rush to my phone to pick it up.

These days my phone, too, is on vibrate most of the time. Other times it's actually on silent, and I forget to ever take it off silent and miss a bunch of notifications.

Funny thing is my ringtone is the opposite.

I have my ringtone set to the goal horn in hockey, and one time I was watching a game and in the middle of play the horn kept going off and I was wondering how and why they're still playing while the horns going off and the commentators don't acknowledge it.

Then I realized it's my phone.

Anyone ever heard of a short picture book story called The Green Ribbon?

It's super short, it takes like a minute to read.

I remember I was at my friend's house and randomly came upon reading it. It freaked me out as a kid (not knowing what was coming), and to this day it's one of the subtler scary stories I've ever read.

NCIS, Gary Cole's character is much more interesting and enjoyable than his predecessor Mark Harmon's Gibbs. Nothing against Harmon, it must be incredibly difficult to be the most interesting character if the character you're portraying is the straight man, but I can't get enough of Cole's NCIS. Too bad he's almost as old as Gibbs, no way I get half the episodes from Cole as Harmon put into the series. But aside from Gibbs' rules, the most interesting thing about his character is his name, Leroy Jethro. My sister-in-law quit watching NCIS when Harmon left, but I keep telling her the series is still as good as it ever was.

I've been rewatching a lot of old tv shows from the 1970's like Columbo, Kojak, Ironsides, Rockford Files, Hawai'i Five-O, Baretta, Starsky and Hutch, the list seemingly goes on and on, never ending, I haven't even mentioned the sitcoms of the 70's.

And I must say, 1970's tv is the best tv the US ever had and is a decade that was never equaled, not the 80', 90's, 00's or 10's, in quality and quantity. And never will, unfortunately.

Kojak is great. Kojak(70s), Miami Vice(80s), NYPD Blue(90s) are my go to cop shows.

They say its Good Friday but that should go without saying. IMO every Friday is a Good Friday, a Great Friday, a Fantastic Friday. Even Friday the 13th is a Good Friday.

So for my uncommon opinion, people should have irrational fears of Monday the 13th. There should be a whole series of movies based on Monday the 13th. Instead of Jason wearing a hockey mask chasing people around with a machete, it would be something like someone named Bill or Bob or Bud wearing a football helmet beating people to death with a baseball bat. Beware Mondays. Even Garfield knows that.

At various times in the younger version of my life, my favorite day of the week changed around between Friday Saturday and Sunday.
But the last three years, I've come to realize my new favorite day of the week is now Wednesday.
Just getting over the weekly hump to where I can coast downhill is huge, mentally.

I will grant tho, in Common Opinions news, Mondays are still number one with a bullet the worst day of the week.
