Speaking of insulated gloves, I have these:

How the heck do you clean the inside? When we had some nasty weather, I accidentally left them outside.. Of course the inside of the glove got wet. I thought they might dry but they didn't and now have this somewhat funk to them when you put your hands inside.
Can I wash the insides then throw them in the oven to bake the moisture/smell out of them?Comment

Call me stupid.. I never really tried that. I tried to turn them inside out the first time I got them, but the material was too thick for it to completely turn inside out. I only got about halfway through the glove. Maybe now that it's worn in, I can do that.Comment

Well I was scared to actually clean out the inside of the glove for fear of ruining the material used to keep my hands from burning. I'll give it a shot and will update.Comment

Try warming them as well, put them in a sink full of warm water, as hot as you can stand, then try to put them on your hands inside out. The warmth should soften them a bit, then you can wash the inside lining. You are probably going to need to wash the inside lining with bleach.Comment

Beer can chicken is pretty good. I do it quite often with a nice dark lager.
When its done I generally pull the legs off for the boys then pull the meat off the thighs for me and slice the breast off the bone for the wife.

Looks cool and makes a pretty bird, but those are the only benefits. All that beer is going to do is make the bird take longer, overcooking the outside, and create the very real potential of having the inside cavity dangerously undercooked.
I would say waste of a good beer, but typically the beer I see this done with is anything but good.Comment

Oh burnsy so undereducated when it comes to food. Cooking times are actually elevated because of the injection of steam to the critical points of the bird.
On top of that it adds a bit of flavor and moisture.
My birds reach proper temps quite quickly vs dry roast. But I like to keep it slow and low after temps to reach "pull"quality.
And the breast stays nice and moist because of the flavorful steam.
