Mouth is watering that looks delicious!

Over the weekend I grilled a pork loin with a cinnamon rub and grilled some apple slices. I've use this rub a few times before but this time I eliminated the Soy Sauce and it turned out much much better. It was always good before but the soy sauce made it a bit on the salty side. I'll post some pics next time.

Nothing special, but delicious BBQ chicken. Using Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce.

If any of you are able to get your hands on Carolina Treet BBQ sauce I highly recommend it. It has been a staple in our family since I was born.

Why is it your favorite? What makes it so special?
What would you compare it to?

It looks like it has mustard in it.

It's just the complete opposite of most standard barbecue sauces I see people using for chicken. No ketchup or sugars, it is more vinegary and spicy than anything, but that comes with the territory. Typical eastern NC bbq sauce for hogs is applecider vinegar and spices like cayenne and black pepper, but that doesn't grill well obviously. This has a similar flavor profile but coats the chicken nicely and adds a unique flavor that I love.

I think the company makes a south Carolina style that has mustard in it but their original doesn't.

If you happen to have a Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook in your household it should be in there. That's where I got it from.

I will post it this evening though after work.

I cook them in a cast iron skillet with some olive oil, and salt and pepper. Either the skillet goes on my gas range inside or on the grill as well.
