2013 Topps Series 2 comes out tomorrow! Can't wait to pick up a jumbo box! Short print variation cards are already on ebay too.Comment

Re: Official OS Sports Card Collecting Thread
Yeah I saw your card on Ebay, very nice hit. If I got a card like that and it was a prospect I would most likely put it on Ebay as well. Their prices can be way too volatile, and I'd rather spend money on proven guys, or hall of famers.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Well, picked up my 2013 Topps Series 2 jumbo box this afternoon. I got the usual 2 relics and an autograph. One of the relics may score me some nice cash on ebay. Really considering selling it. Here they are.

I decided to run back to the store and get two more 50 card jumbo packs and I ended up scoring this bad boy.

Re: Official OS Sports Card Collecting Thread
The waiting game paid off.
After being on eBay for ~1.5 months and sifting through lowball offer ($300) after lowball offer (TONS of offers for $350)... also baumy's offer of a couple dollars... finally sold my Buxton for $425, which was about the price I was looking to move it for.badComment

Bought my first hobby box of football cards ever (2013 bowman).
So... Autos first.

Tyrann Mathieu - CB ARI, Base unnumbered (I think) mini-card auto redemption.
Sam McGuffie - WR OAK, unnumbered collegiate bowl auto.
Desmond Trufant - CB ATL, Chrome Blue Auto (#28/99)
Relic -
Andrew Luck patch, unnumbered.
Numbered Parallel Cards
Ryan Tannehill Die Cut (81/99)
Alex Okafor Gold (19/399)
Tyler Bray Blue (460/499)
Stevie Johnson Blue Refractor (38/99)
Ziggy Ansah Blue (425/499)
Matt Schaub Blue (63/99)
Jonathan Hankins Blue (436/499)
Matt Barkley Blue (293/499)
Ryan Otten Orange (270/299)
Knile Davis Red (98/199)
Mike Gillislee Red Ref (97/199)
Overall, I love Bowman. Nothing big in this jumbo box, but I enjoyed opening it quite a bit.Last edited by ubernoob; 06-29-2013, 11:47 PM.badComment

Re: Official OS Sports Card Collecting Thread
So I wanted to get some opinions from my fellow card collectors on a project I'm working on. I'm building a sort of wall display to display all of my Phillies autograph, authentic jersey, and relic cards. I have 2 shelves done so far and I'm planning on working on 2-3 more in the coming week to be placed above the 2 current ones. I took a poster off of one of the walls in my Phillies man cave for the display. I wouldn't really call them shelves...more like nice pieces of wood I stained/glossed and cut a groove into so the cards can stand on it. I have 2 pictures of what I have done so far. Just wanted to know what you guys think of it. It's a really neat way to display the cards you don't want to have tucked away in a box.Comment

No issues there. My finished basement has one window that the sun never hits anyway. Plus, the window is on the other side of the room away from that wall.Comment

Anyone who has bought this year's Bowman baseball... Have you redeemed the codes for the Prospect Challenge? I just realized my players were Inactive. Thought they would be Active by default after I selected them... I am so dumb....
