    Nice.

On a side note, I still love that Sox logo.

      It's kind of strange...

I bought my Mickey Mantle card to flip for a profit, and I could have sold it for $450 today on a local online site, but I changed my mind.

Even though I could have made a $200 profit, I just don't want to get rid of the card just yet.

Maybe I'll never be able to get that out of it again, but who knows.

I would kill to buy a few of those national treasure packs. They seem like a lot of fun.

Yes, National Treasure is the best baseball product that has been released in years imo. There are so many legends in that product it's not even funny. Panini killed it with that product. Topps could learn from it with their high end product 5 star.

I'm just not a fan of National Treasures because of the lack of the MLB license. But I don't in much stuff higher than Sterling autos, even still, not really a fan.

Like I've said before, that is the only knock. It's not even a big deal to me because the cards are so beautiful.

You're all about prospecting, though so that's another reason you aren't a fan.

To me, NT beats anything high-end that Topps puts out.

Re: Official OS Sports Card Collecting Thread

That's another thing, personally, I am not a fan of prospecting, especially when a guy gets so "big" his prices are outrageous, IE Trout last year. For the prices of some of the cards, you could get hall of famer rookie cards and mem/auto cards. It's just different to me I guess, but if I had to choose it would be a no brainer.

Yeah, the lack of the license hurts the product a little bit, but the cards are awesome looking and the checklist is amazing, unlike Topps' checklist which has basically been the same for a while adding prospects. 5 star was awful for topps imo, the chipping was terrible for such a high end product, and the stuff didn't hold resale value.

Mo, I've got that Griffey Jr. card lying around somewhere. That one was always one of my favorites that I had.

Right on. I think they are big enough to really stand out in a room and fill up some wall space. I say go for it.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with collecting a certain player if you like the way he plays the game.
