I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I am STILL fascinated by the old guy with the bomb / kill switch / how or if he relates to this larger story and why we don't seem to be able to find out anything about that incident...

Curious, indeed...

Why would that story be impossible to get any info on if it was an unrelated event?

Probably has more to do with the fact that they are 100x more concerned with the guy in custody and what he knows than someone who was prevented from causing any problems.

There are TONS of questionable clips out there...I just peeped a clip to where they handcuffed the 1st perp, & stuck him in the back of a cruiser...walkin on his own...when did he get shot up, & then supposedly was ran over by his brother?

Multiple people were arrested until identities were confirmed.

Sorry, shoulda been more specific... I was talkin about his older brother,who was layed out on a gurney from gunshot wounds & an autopsy.

"Run over" might be too strong of a term (at the very least perhaps too broad). Maybe it just means as the younger brother backed up his car, he struck him with his bumper, knocking him over, and drove forward. Doesn't necessarily mean he hit him very hard, and most certainly doesn't mean the tires trampled any part of his body.

I'm really not sure either way, though.

If there's "No Story" / "No Connection": then THAT is the "story"...is it not?

So, the public shouldn't be curious how a Senior Citizen ends up with a bomb vest and a dead man's switch in the general proximity of all these events?

When/where was it ever said that somebody had a bomb vest and dead man's switch on other than the older brother? I'd guess the BPD and surrounding towns have responded to at least 100 bomb threats/suspicious packages over the past week and that number is probably conservative. A lot of those threats probably sound legitimate over the police scanner. I think the more likely scenario in this case is that people listening to the scanner don't understand what they're hearing.

Are you 100% positive it was the 1st suspect? They handcuffed somebody else that night and it turned out to be a case of somebody being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It's not like this is a common "non newsworthy occurrence" that happens regularly...

Might be "mis information" as you say, but it is curious how detailed / similar all of these accounts are...

Gotcha...I certainly hope the authorities AND the media look into it...

As I said, I'm not a great internet researcher, so I was wondering if there's any mentions on police blotters or anything...

I also wonder why, when the networks were trying to make up enough stuff to fill the time it took for this to play out, this story wasn't part of the dialog...

It SEEMS to have ceased to be a story as of Friday afternoon...about an hour after it happened...it is NOT a typical occurrence that doesn't merit follow up IMHO...

Considering how many networks and news outlets were on this story, why aren't they trying to fill up the 24 hour news cycle with some of this?
