So those who don't believe in some of these conspiracies are just brainwashed puppets? I don't believe in that outlandish conspiracy and I don't believe everything in the media. It's not as black and white as you are making it out to be.

Couldn't agree more. I know there are certain things the public is better off not knowing but others just shouldn't be ignored.

Corporate News is a joke. Pushing for the status quo with little blips of "unrest" to arouse interest and push ratings. No real stories of relevance or weight whatsoever.

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon

I want to comment on the "tin foil hat" wearing comments. Now I'm am not some conspiracy theorist, but I do find the old operations they have conducted interesting and I have read several.

Our government has not been angels in the least, and has even proposed attacking our own cities to further a agenda in other parts of the world. If you are not familiar with Operation Northwoods that was declassified in 2001 then I suggest you read just what was being requested. Thankfully it was rejected, yet it is clear there intentions were anything but "safe" for us.

Operation Midnight Climax was another that is interesting because the CIA tested LSD and other mind altering substances on men that frequented a CIA setup brothel in several big cities of the United States.

Now these are confirmed real declassified documents from our United States. I'm not saying to look at the U.S. in any particular way, I'm just saying make yourself aware to what they have done and proposed doing. Then you are a more knowledge citizen and won't be blind sided if by some chance one of these "proposals" don't get rejected and get the go ahead. One such agenda could very well be the "instilling fear" in guns, not saying it has happened, just saying it is a logical agenda they could support and propose these types of "operations".

There's a huge difference between keeping an open mind and actively searching for an imaginative alternate scenario every time something happens in the world.

And I work in the media business so I'd absolutely say to not believe everything you hear lol. There's always a motive.

Oh I agree completely and i think many of the conspiracies are down right hurtful to the people who were involved. I'm just saying sticking your head in the sand is not good either. There needs to be a healthy balance of looking at things, and what I think 12 is getting at.

I think any reasonable person would agree with that but most of the conspiracy theories I've seen surrounding the marathon bombings are far from reasonable.

Didn't say that. Just saying that some, not all, of these conspiracies have truth to them. Wolf Blitzer isn't any more credible than Joe Junkyard in Kansas.

Heheh...I thought the same. But it is a great post. Another example of follow the money trail. (re: CNN trying to be "FIRST!" with the news of an arrest -- it's cool though. They were only off by a few days... and 1 suspect.)
