Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
Apparently Times Square was the next target. They found tons of more explosives. SMFH.
I guess that's why they tried staying alive and why nobody took credit from the beginning.Comment

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
From what I read, thus far their NYC plan seems as if it was off the cuff. CNN reported they were first planning to go to NYC to party, then decided to try to use their leftover explosives there. But then apparently their hijacked car became low on gas and their hostage ran away during re-fueling at the station.Comment

The two most wanted men in the US don't travel to the most populous city in the nation with multiple IEDs, grenades and firearms to "party".Last edited by yanksdaniel99; 04-25-2013, 07:37 PM.Comment

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
And I don't know if this counts for anything, but I'd presume in this CNN report, the suggestion was the kid and his bro thought about going to NYC to party, then before the hijacking, decided to go their to attack once again. Or something... I'll have to re-read, or wait for a more steady report.Comment

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
Yeah, I'm certain there's a lot of details and intricacies. But given that the Boston attacks occurred and at least one of those fellows was out there Tweeting and chilling out, it kind of makes their initial alleged intentions semi-realistic.

I do however have to agree with Yanks on the fact that they never planned on going to NYC to "party."
That wouldn't even make sense. Their choices were to lay low in Boston or flee the country, I doubt the option of going to to New York to party was ever brought up.Comment

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
I'm sick of seeing the terrorists parents. They are getting way too much time on tv to talk about how great their children were.Last edited by mike24forever; 04-26-2013, 10:40 PM.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

The two came up with the plan spontaneously after the Boston bombing, as they talked in an SUV they hijacked, New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev initially told investigators that he and his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, had talked about going to New York to "party." Then in a second round of questioning Sunday evening into Monday morning -- during which Kelly said the suspect was "a lot more lucid" than the first time he was interviewed -- he revealed they planned to use their remaining explosives there, Kelly announced.
The plan "fell apart" when the SUV ran low on fuel in the Boston area and the Tsarnaevs ordered the driver to pull into a gas station, Kelly said.Comment

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
I understand the parents wanting to believe their children are innocent but c'mon one son confessed to it and the other was shooting at police when he was killed, not to mention the countless pictures, videos of them planting the bomb.
Time for them to face the facts.Comment
