I get that. I just found it odd that video footage is being take of a pretty common, even boring, event; the guy who got arrested speaks about drinking iced tea; the camera pans to the iced tea; now we have an officer who has issue with this iced tea can.

I might who knows, but I know for sure it won't be for "doing nothing". If I am getting picked up for doing nothing I'm going down swinging for the fences. Right or wrong it is how it would happen.

Edit. I realized after I posted this my point of this post would not be understood correctly.

If you can get arrested for having a can of ice tea and standing in a parking lot then the chance of me being arrested, you, or anyone else is a crap shoot.

My stance stems on the liberty and rights side which is against the TOS so I can't go into it.

IDK, Judging by the music edited in the video I can assume that these guys are into music so a random video makes sense. (A form a promotion. WSHH, Youtube, etc..)

Also Arizona Ice Tea's are popular in the "urban" community.

Cop may have thought it was a Four Loco which does look similar at a distance and they were also popular..

Sure....I ...you ...anyone may get arrested(and I can guarantee that I won't be resisting in any way, shape or form.....a mistaken arrest can be corrected)....but I won't be going to "jail".

i have every right to tackle and citizen arrest a police officer. That's what is lost here our rights are the same as the police officers. You are not above these rights.

Just being a police officer does not exempt you from anything. Just having a badge does not prevent you from doing wrong to someone. What's gives the "cop" the right to strike or tackle someone who has not deserved that kind of behavior? It has happened more than enough to know it is not some unicorn. The standards I live by is treat others how they treat you and if a man is going to try and come arrest me if I done nothing wrong will result in me defending myself.

Wrongful arrest is just that poor police work. You can bow down and lay your fate in the hands of others but we all know that is far from 100%. There is plenty who have spent most of their lives behind bars because of wrongful arrests.

So you can take the road that cops are "untouchable". I view them as any other man. They put their pants on the same as everyone else and commit crimes like everyone else soooo as a citizen you have the right to protect your freedoms. Take that cop that wanted to eat those girls, what if they just bowed down and got in his car? What about the teaching of driving to a lighted area before letting a cop pull you over? Your stance seems skewed as if cops are always justified in their actions and that for someone to challenge that means they are a bad person or they will "go to jail".

Bottom line, you have you biased opinion on it and I have my biased opinion on it.

I'll be honest I can't stand your tone. As if me mentioning a cop doing something unjust or them being subject to the same laws we are apart of is unheard of.

All of a sudden it does not matter whether or not they were right earlier, but rather you just committed assault and will be punished as such. I'm just using a more broad stance on it. Now yea you can take the justice system way but what if you don't get too. How about that 61 year old man that was killed just recently because the cops raided the wrong house and he thought it was a home invasion so he was shot and killed by the cops in front his wife. These kind of situations are just written as a "Opps" we screwed up. A guy is dead for a "wrongful arrest attempt". My point on this comparison is like knight said he would just "comply" , yet this man never had that option.

Now my original point was that a clear abuse of power can and does happen. So simply accepting it as that is just how it is, is not a good long term idea for us as a society.

Checks and balances exists so these kinds if situations don't happen. There is countless amounts of citizens arrests you can look up of cops breaking the law and people doing the right thing taking them down. Hell one guy arrested a cop and put him in his own cop car back seat.

My entire thing is we are all under the same rights and laws. No one is exempt from that.
