I lead a very healthy lifestyle and eat mostly boring, healthy stuff 90% of the time. A normal day for me is like this:
However, on Sundays (especially during football season) I eat whatever the **** I want. I feel that giving yourself one day a week to not restrict yourself is totally fine as long as you don't go overboard.
So basically, my dream Sunday meals would be something like this:
Now that might sound extremely boring to a lot of you, but before I started eating like this I was about 30-40 pounds overweight but after six months of eating like this, I melted away all of those excess pounds. Obesity runs in my family and I am getting to the age where my metabolism isn't a million miles per hour anymore. I used to eat anything I wanted in any amounts and never gained a pound. Not anymore!
Don't get me wrong, ten years ago my list would have been a lot more entertaining and full of junk (I still do crave junk food here and there) but once you ween yourself off of that stuff, the cravings almost disappear entirely.
I do allow myself to drink up to six beers once a week, too. Usually on Friday or Saturday nights. However, I do sober up completely for months at a time for no particular reason.
