I'm sorry for your loss Matt. I almost lost my mom a couple months ago but she made it through. Take care and God bless to you and your family.

Been away from OS for awhile, first time seeing your thread. So sorry about your loss. It will be 5 years in October since my dad passed away. Remember the good times and all the lessons she taught you.

Returned to work yesterday. People here were very nice, offering their condolences. That was a little tough actually, because even though people were just being nice, it brings memories, and opens fresh wounds. Still, I appreciate their thoughts, even if it makes thing a little tougher on me.

I lost my dad 3 years ago. My advice is to keep talking about your mom. Fresh or not. Keep the stories alive and remember all the good times and all the times you were a pain in the ***.

The more you are reminded by her the more you'll remember her. Things don't get easier but things will move forward and you'll realize just how much she taught you.

I only post this as my dad's 3 year anniversary was a few days ago. So it is fresh. Keep strong and remember what she prepared you for.

Thoughts and prayers still with you fellow OS'er (and presumably pain in the *** like me).

Just wanted to pop in here and say thank you to all who kept me in their prayers and offered their condolences. I kinda got away from gaming a bit after that, not even posting on OS as much. I hit a little bit of a funk. But I did get some good news after this. I found out that I am going to be a dad, and my wife is due in June. This is a wonderful thing, and focusing on this new life coming into this world has helped me deal with the loss I experienced this year.
