Home Jersey
The question I want to see what people think, is if they like it better when the home team is white jerseys(like NHL has had from 1970-2003, and like NBA(Lakers are only exception I believe?) and MLB have had), or do they like it better when the home team wears the "dark jersey" where it's their team colors on it(like the NFL has had, and like NHL used to have before 1970 and after 2003)31I prefer it being coloured/dark jerseys(like NFL,NHL) and I want NBA and/or MLB to switch to this style0%9I prefer it being coloured/dark jerseys(like NFL,NHL) but don't want NBA and/or MLB to switch to this style0%9I prefer it being white jerseys(like MLB,NBA) and I want NFL and/or NHL to switch to this style0%9I prefer it being white jerseys(like MLB,NBA) but don't want NFL and/or NHL to switch to this style0%4Tags: None -
Re: Home Jersey
I prefer the dark jerseys for home, white for away.

First off, isn't this why we have this? Literally on the first page, two spots down: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ob-thread.html
But anyway, in Football, Basketball, and Hockey, it should be dark colored, with these exceptions:
it actually pisses me off a bit when even dome teams in the NFL are wearing white at home int he early months of the seasons
as far as the MLB goes, the first game should be Road team in Grey, Home team in White, and the 2 games after it should be color vs color or at least color vs. white/gray. I like being able to go LSU games 4 days a week and getting Black/White and Purple Pinstripes on Tuesday, Navy/White on Friday, Orange/Purple on Saturday, and Grey/Gold on Sunday.Last edited by Watson; 11-08-2013, 07:54 PM.And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: Home Jersey
I like how it is in all the leagues right now, except for hockey. I started watching when white was the home color and I think they should go back.
I was utterly confused when I put in NHL 2k5 and I kept having to switch the teams uniforms around. They always defaulted to color at home and white on the road. I was unaware that a change had been made.
As for baseball, all softball tops should burn.Comment

Re: Home Jersey
I definitely prefer white jerseys at home for NHL, NBA, and MLB. I've always accepted football as being dark at home. I was bummed when the NHL switched over in 2003. I thought the Red Wings looked really clean in their whites on their home ice. Very aesthetically appealing. Their roads make things feel a little cold and dark to me at the Joe.
Miss it.Comment

I feel exactly the same way and that's the primary reason why I prefer the white at home.
I also just read an article about how equipment managers would rather not take two sets of colors (primary and alternates) on road trips. This article also stated that with colors on the road, teams could choose only to wear their alts on single game road trips, thus limiting the appearance of the third sweaters, which I'm all for anyway.Comment

Re: Home Jersey
I guess I'll clarify what I really think.
I think we can all agree we're just so use to the way the jerseys are for each sport, or had been for each sport, that it's fine for each sport to do it differently. With football, it's always been dark for home. For every other sport minus hockey, which as it was stated use to be, we're so use to white being home that it's what we like to see.--

Re: Home Jersey
I prefer dark at home and I'm an advocate for having more color vs. color games. As long as the colors don't clash, color vs. color looks better 9 times out of 10.Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment

Re: Home Jersey
lol,I remember when I was younger and used to play video games against people(not online obviously, just in person) we used to pick the same colors and made the game so much harder(so both teams would wear white, or both teams would wear colored jerseys that were similar(if not the same) shade of that color).Comment

Re: Home Jersey
How could the Nets look like the home team? NBA teams wear white at home with very few exceptions (Lakers still wear light colors at home so I consider it white). Don't see how it would be possible to mix them up just because they both had red jerseys at the time. If it changed the other way, every team is wearing colors at home. Color vs. color shouldn't happen. I'd even prefer if baseball didn't do it. Either white vs. color or color vs. gray.Comment
