I don't quite remember the Challenger as it happened but that one moment in time changed the space program forever. It had started to really get traction again comparable to the level of interest back in the 1960s and seeing that happen live on national TV totally sucked the air out of it.

One wonders if the Challenger disaster never happened if we'd be further along in space exploration.

I wasn't quite 5 when the Challenger disaster occurred so I don't remember it. And, I suppose one could almost say the same thing about the Columbia disaster.

Heh, nice. I love it when I get extra food. I remember though one time I'd gone to McDonald's and ordered a 5 piece chicken selects and got only 4. It was super crowded that day though and I didn't feel like going back up to get them to fix it. Well, the very next time I went to McDonald's (probably several months later) and ordered a 5 piece chicken selects, I got 6. Man, I miss chicken selects, but at least we have a Popeye's now as their chicken strips are of comparable quality.

Put a couple disposable cameras on every table at your reception, though I suppose that really only covers the after party.

Congrats on the wedding planning, I let my wife do most if it and even then it was trying with dealing with budget, guest list, etc.

Yeah, we're thinking about having the photographer for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, and beginning of the reception/money shots to limit that cost. The rest of the reception people can take their own pictures, and we'll probably be all pictured out halfway through this thing anyway.

She's been making the calls and stuff but I do like to have a voice. Like she started with 5 bridesmaids (so I had to match with 5 groomsmen) realized she didn't talk to 3 of them as much, then after they were cool with it thought about replacing them with other people. Put my foot down on that one; I have two best friends and once we were to just two I realized it should've been that way all along. She agreed after some discussing. There has to be some people in the audience!

You are absolutely right about the DJ. A DJ really dictates a reception and is much more than just an entertainer. We hired a DJ that did clubs in Vegas and he was legit.

We've seen/heard other DJs at wedding receptions and there is such a difference when people try to go more affordable in the area. It didn't flow smoothly and people tend to leave early rather than party all night.

This DJ is so legit. We met for 3 hours, but he wasn't showing off and he wasn't pressuring us to make a decision on the spot. He recommended 3 of his guys, and threw himself in the ring as well. Yeah we had to budge a bit on our pricing, but he met us in the middle personally as well. Really were blown away by him. He's got a pretty serious résumé. There really is a science to DJ'ing; instead of playing what's hot, he talked about tempo, warming people up, reading the signs that people wanna get to it, etc. Plus, though the venue has it's own sound system which is decent to good, he has tons of extra equipment and lighting to really make this thing memorable. We have a feeling this guy is gonna knock it outta the park for us. Really got us both in the mood for it to finally happen!

So far the two classes I've had have polar opposite teachers. My English professor told us attendance is mandatory and we'll be marked down if we miss class. She seemed pretty strict before I met her but she was actually very friendly and made the class seem very enjoyable.

My Psychology professor basically said she takes role for the first and last two weeks of the semester and that's it. She was there the whole time but wasn't entirely present and it seemed she had no idea what she was doing. I checked her score on RateMyProfessor and it was at a solid 1.9 so that makes sense.

The gal and I went to the Melting Pot to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. Best decision ever. That place is incredible.
