Ever feel like trying to cut ties with someone because you care too much and it's probably best for your own sanity to just move on?

This is one of those times I just wish I didn't really give a **** about people and I wasn't such an emotional person. I admire those people who it seems like nothing can bother them and they just do them. Even though I know at lot of the time that isn't really the case.

When I was a kid, I honestly thought they used regular table salt on the roads and side walks. So when I was 8 years old, I took a container of table salt and was pouring it on the side walk and down the back door steps. My mom saw me and said what are you doing ????

I said I'm salting the steps and side walk. My mom laughed at me non stop for a good 2 minutes. Then my dad walked in the room and said what is so funny. My mom told him and he laughed too. Then he said son, that isn't the type of salt they use on the roads and side walks.

Did they later hit you for wasting salt because the only reason it was in the house was to keep the devil away?

I did that. My best friend in high school was a girl. Yadda poopa ****ta, you know where this ends up. Eventually when I graduated I decided I'd be more sane if I just cut things off.

She's married now, which seems insane to me. I can't fully grasp my head around people my age getting married since I am soooooo far away from that.

I hate that my journalism class this quarter is basically a forced internship. Particularly because it's an internship that only one of the people in my class would have applied for (which she did and got the internship).

That's sounding like my situation right now, just replace high school with work. The mental gymnastics that have been going on in my head lately are just....ugh. It didn't take long at all for all that stress I was mostly relieved of when I went on vacation to come storming right back.

I'd type up the story behind it but I don't know if I'm up to it right now. I'm not that great at that type of thing and I don't feel like writing another typical novel about frustrations with females.

Of course I'm sure within the next 24 hours that will all change lol.

Mine haven't been getting married, instead they've been having babies. And it figures that most of them are probably the least ready to be going through that type of thing right now. Especially one friend I have in particular who was my best friend through junior high and most of high school. It might be a ****ty thing to say but I already feel sorry for that unborn kid.

Then again maybe it's not that ****ty of a thing to say when the kid's father is a drug dealer who thinks he can live off of "that life" and when he found out his girlfriend was pregnant immediately started going out every weekend to try and smash every girl in sight before the kid is born.

I mean I get the concept of the latter part of that. It's just I still have morals and I don't think I could do that if I was in the same situation.
