Yep, you should have fed and state taxes being taken out. Taxes are calculated based on the individual paycheck. With 40 hours you should have more than enough income to trigger withholding.

That's pretty odd, we started reading some work by a writer named Gabriel Garcia Marquez today and my teacher emailed us after class saying he passed away today at the age of 87.

Well, this week has turned out awful. The other day my dad was diagnosed with a hernia. Very common and routine surgery, but he is in his 70s.

And today, my mom had a biopsy done on a lump in her mouth. Test results will come in early next week to see if cancerous.

Luckily I am off the next 3 days because my mind is spent right now...

Really? Which songs? That one song or the other 40 songs that sound exactly like that one song?

Shot guns, drank tequila, set a weekend dinner date with this girl I used to have a huge crush on in hs.

              It's been a good day.

Thanks man. Life is too stressful right now. Just way too much going on.

                  Also this happened yesterday:
Wife was cleaning out the fridge and sees yogurt 2 months old (expiration date is early Feb). Well, we bought the yogurt early April.

After we bought it, my daughter ate about half of it and didn't want it anymore. This was weird because she loves M&M's and yogurt.

Well, sure enough she got real sick and we took her to urgent care. At the time, we didn't know about the bad yogurt. Now, looking back at it, she probably had food poisoning.

When I saw the date on the yogurt, I lost it. I was so pissed. Went to the grocery store and all they could say was sorry and asked to replace the item. I told them I didn't care about the $ but my daughter's health was in jeopardy. Total negligence on their part.

So now, I am considering getting an attorney. Anyone have any advice on my course of action?

I don't know about litigation but contacting the FDA and filing a report for health code violation is definitely an option.

Yeah, pretty much. I think a store can be fined for leaving stuff on the shelves beyond the sell-by date, but it's also the customers responsibility to check the date on perishable items. Sorry your daughter got sick though and I hope she's feeling better. Also, hope everything turns out okay with your parents recent medical issues.

It sucks that your daughter got sick, but you're really going to sue them for that?

With the expiration date printed on the container, I don't think that there's anything you can sue the store for.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Ya, don't think there's anything you can really do, but I don't get how grocery stores are allowed to sell food well past their expiration date. A few days then maybe it's just cause they didn't clean up the shelves and stuff, but months past?

But checking expiration dates on stuff is obviously a must when buying stuff, you don't want to buy stuff that's past, or real close to expiring(obviously).

You'd think that with all the technology available today, the average grocery store would be able to keep track of expiration dates on their products.
