Re: Off Topic 2014
Anyone hear about what's happening in Ottawa right now? Crazy/messed up stuff.
4 shooters in diff locations, 1 at Parliament Hill(main area for Government of Canada), 1 of them intentionally killed a soldier at a war memorial. NHL game already postponed because of this stuff. I think last time any pro sports game was postponed due to an incident like this was in Boston? Crazy stuff, and nobody has any idea who did it/if they're affiliated with anyone. You never know if something like this could happen anywhere else anytime soon.Last edited by Majingir; 10-22-2014, 01:02 PM.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2014
A while back, someone had talked about a place in New Orleans that had amazing Po' boys. Whoever that was, would you be kind enough to remind me of the name?
Or perhaps Watson or anyone else with a lot of Louisiana experience could recommend places for me and my dad to eat this weekend?
Thanks in advance.Boston Red Sox

Spoiler
If we're being honest, my favorite place to eat in NOLA is Camellia Grill, and not a seafood or po boy joint like you'd expect to hear. They make the best *** **** hamburger that has ever entered my mouth. It looks cheap and greasy, but it taste like...you know how you felt when you saw your first pair of boobs? That's what it tastes like.
Spoiler
With that said, if you're gonna swing by the tailgate and have some of @zrau's Smoked Pork/Ribs/Mac N Cheese, you're likely not to eat all day Sunday, so choose wisely.
This is what's waiting for you Saturday, should you choose to accept:

Re: Off Topic 2014
Alright my Chicago people, I am in need of your assistance.
I've mentioned here before, but my girlfriend is going to Malaysia for 10 months in January. The plan is that we'll move in together somewhere when she returns.
She is hoping to go to Grad School, and as of now, the two places she really wants to apply to are schools in London, England and Washington DC.
She's open to Chicago based on what I've told her before, but she's never been there. One of the perks of working for the company that I currently work for is that we get discounted hotels in Chicago, so I'm hoping to take her there for a weekend.
Where should I take her/what should I do with her in Chicago to sell her on the city? Her family is obsessed with food, so she loves to see markets, different sections of cities that have different types of food and stuff. She also loves museums. And I'm hoping to take her to see Wrigleyville and Millenium Park at least.
Personally, I'm open to DC and London as well, but my company has a branch in Chicago that I could transfer to, so the transition to Chicago would probably be much easier for me than the other two places.
Soooo yeah, I appreciate any advice that you guys have.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse
Soccer: USMNT/DC United
