With all this talk about tv show brackets......Can we have a new section on this forum dedicated to this(subforum of the Entertainment/Technology section)? Doesn't have to be just 1 "tournament". We can have abunch of different ones. Sitcoms, Cartoon sitcoms, dramas, game shows, action/adventure,sci fi and so on.

Anyone else remember the sitcom Rock? IT aired on Fox in the 90s. It starred Charles S Dutton and Rocky Carroll (now of NCIS fame). Lasted a few seasons. It used to be a favorite of mine, but I dont think it made it too syndication.

I've got to write a three part speech for my speech class and I'm using the topic "Should We Pay Student-Athletes"? The first speech is an Informative Speech, the second is an argument for your topic and the third is an argument against your topic.

Each speech needs three main points.

My issue is the informative speech points. I was going to write about the history of schools/athletes taking donations and the different outcomes, the Northwestern Union and the Ed O'Bannon Lawsuit.

I'm not going to have enough information to make the Northwestern part long. Does anyone have a third idea I could write about, something historic, I don't know.

Sam Keller lawsuit. Or is that lumped in with the O'Bannon stuff?

Whatever happened to all those after school cartoons? Who the hell wants talk shows? Gimme some transformers, go bots, and He Man.

I miss Batman: The Animated Series. Was gritty, animation was solid and the story lines were good.

Ya, I'd say Price is Right is better than Family Feud,but just posted Family Feud stuff cause it's funnier/will catch peoples attention more.

Though only negative about Price is Right is how "over the top/fake" so many of the contestants seem. So many are going crazy/running around/jumping/screaming just at the SIGHT of what they could win.

Actually (and this is probably due to the fact that I'm a major nerd for this kind of stuff.) this is REALLY interesting. Apparently the reasoning behind it is because the owner of the label (Big Machine) is trying to sell and he thinks the best way to sell the label is.... demonstration of physical album sales. This is a "power play," albeit probably the dumbest power play I've ever seen. Album sales were a huge factor 25 years ago... but now? It's all about streaming on Spotify and sales on iTunes. Just goes to show how out of touch the industry still is in terms of the mediums people use to listen to their product.

What about The Andy Griffith Show? If for nothing else than being a fore-runner of the genre and setting a precedent for everything that came after it.

Definitely before my time, but one of my teachers used to bring DVDs in and play episodes for us and I thought that show was ****ing hilarious the little of it that I remember.
