That'd be like saying Vick belongs in the Hall of Fame because he had those few incredible seasons and some jaw-dropping plays.

Hall of Fame is entire body of work and longevity. I'm going to go out on a limb and say 83% of the people nominated and voted on are not going to belong in an OS Hall of Fame.

Not really. I hate to use the old tired Internet cliché....but it's just a message board. This isn't an Internet Hall of Fame we're talking about here and it's not like people from all over the world are going to be visiting here to see who were the most efficient posters in OS History or anything like that LOL. Unless we're really going to be BBWA-esq about who gets voted in, then yeah I agree in that none of them have a case.

I'd vote them in just based on entertainment/comedy value alone just as far as their posts go and would toss quality out the window for those 2.

(FWIW, Michael Vick does have a Jersey and pair of Shoes in the Pro Football HOF for some of his on field performances(along with other players who don't necessarily have HOF Resumes)).

Everyone with 10,000+ posts is Hall of Fame caliber.
Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII
        Penguins : 1990/91, 1991/92, 2008/09, 20015/16, 2016/17
        Pirates : 1909, 1925, 1960, 1971, 1979
        Panthers (FB): 1915, 1916, 1918, 1929, 1931, 1934, 1936, 1937, 1976
        Panthers (MBB): 1927/28, 1929/30

But we don't have jerseys or shoes or whatever to add in for one good performance. We have the overall "careers" and one month of good posts that are now all deleted, more or less, does not make an OS poster a hall of fame caliber addition to the website.

We have a thread dedicated to threads/posts that are not to be missed. That's where those type of people belong - the "Hall of Entertaining Posters."

This is supposed to be the Hall of Fame. That means overall body of work (Clay_OS), comedic/entertainment that lasted (The C), or just all-around impact (Steve, Sully, Mill).

For instance, a guy like "Pol" created two of the best threads in the history of this site. He does not belong in the hall of fame, because aside from that I don't remember anything about him. One or two good seasons wouldn't get someone into a league's Hall of Fame, so why should one or two good threads, or months of posting in GW's case, get someone into an OS Hall of Fame?

(And yes, I realize we're taking this way too seriously, but if this is going to be the OS Hall of Fame, it should be. As I said, we have the "Classic Threads/Posts/etc." thread for all of those little things that made us laugh and all of that. There's no point in a Hall of Fame if it's going to go down the same path as that, in my opinion).

            I guess.

Like I said, to me, it's just a message board so I couldn't care less who gets in this "HOF" or not since I'm not taking this as serious as some of you may. If I did have a vote, it'd be for THM though.

                  I nominate:

bkrich: The guy is the glue that holds this board together. He's basically been a constant as long as I've posted here.

Psyblast: What applies to bkrich also applies to Psyblast.

Cebby: Not sure if banned members will be allowed, but post-for-post, he was the best poster on this board while he was a member. He was in all honesty a douche, but the fact that he completely destroyed some of the irrational homers on here made his presence worthwhile. Very smart and very funny poster, which is a rare combination.

The C: Funniest poster on this board, hands down.

Jistic: Another longtime member; his sliders for Madden/NCAAF are the reason why I kept coming back to this board in the first place.
I write things on the Internet.

I vote kehlissmells. For the sheer anger and creativity in that name.

I've been called a lot worse here but that one really hit home and convinced me to start showering more.

I think you can't just consider posts... I think you also have to take into account what the user has given to the OS sports gaming community.

Agreed. The inaugural class will be worthy people who've been around for a while.

It's more than a message board, this is a community. The other forum that I got the idea from has been doing a hall of fame voting for 8 years now, and is an incredibly prestigious honor on the site. Was thinking it could be built up in a similar manner here.
