I can give you a small morsel....

There were two owners before Steve... Craig and Jeff.

Steve was a the late night "news" guy and eventually the main "news" guy. He didn't really write, he just scoured the Internet for stories. He was and still is remarkable at it.

The original writing staff was pretty tiny.

The first BOOM came after Steve bought the site from Jeff. Around the same time there was a mass-exit from the Sports Gaming forum over at IGN. That's where we picked up guys like Shawn (sdrotar) and Mark (fossen). In fact, for close to a year... there was a kind of Old School OSers and Old IGNers who took a little wild to blend.

From there... the forums really started blowing up. Steve made a ton of great connections...

Yada... yada.... Here you are.

AND... FWIW... I'm pretty sure I (Clay) didn't do a Mass Celling. I believe I'm being framed for that.

AND... my two favorite threads are the dude who did the Atari Basketball write-up that was brilliant... and (I'm biased)... "How Do I Tell Me Girlfriend?"...

I believe it was you who celled quite a few guys at once although it sounds like come thing bdoughty would do.

I always thought you guys were the funniest two ever even if it was unintentional. Talking about trolling trolls...you two had it mastered.

I think I hit a stage where I would always post in Times New Roman. It only sucked because I couldn't default to it, so I had to change it each time.

EDIT: Wait, that was on the 2K Sports forums. Looked legit enough though.

There was a guy who threatened to sue OS

Then we found out he was a young kid on his daddy's computer and OS contacted his dad about it and that was all she wrote for him

2010 was mostly avatar shenanigans
2011 was the Dave Ortiz (I think that was the name) Football scandal plus I think that was the year everyone got DJ Kitty avatars.
2012 was just a bunch of random stuff.
2013 was, well April Fools 2013 was apparently skipped.

Thee was also a lot of little things every year such as censoring of words related to hot current topic, random closing of forums, banning of prominent members, renaming of forums.

I did a search and tmSKILLZ early posts were actually in black but bolded while his later posts were a shade of orange that was oddly reminiscent of jeremym480's Pedrobear persona

Also, I found TMSkillz3000 who posted once, and only once, back in 2009.

On a side note, I remember way back when Beantown, Acid, possibly GIGGAS and I think one or two others had a field day with Psyblast and his choice of outfits.

Sadly, Psyblast was nowhere to be found in that thread. It was short lived, but pretty funny.

It's been a ton of years... so I'd never say never... but I don't remember doing a lot of "Forum Admin" stuff like Cell stuff. That's not to say I was above "poking the prisoners" once they were there. I think the bulk of my Forum work from an admin side was deleting horrifying photos during Bdoughty meltdowns.

And... for the record... I was never unintentionally funny. I may not have been funny... but it was always intentional.
