Beautiful... The time when this country needs to unify the most to try and fix the mess of a government we created we're trying more of this crap.

I'd be willing to bet this is being started by people who want to avoid the real issues and are trying to make something else for people to talk about.

I was going to say, "This country is going down." but it honestly feels more like this world is going down...

This is essentially propaganda being pushed by someone (possibly gun control activists) to draw attention away from something else on this same ballot. Not from CA so I really don't care or know but this just shows how effed we are, and how corrupt we are.

Constitution says you can't create new states out of existing states.

Lincoln broke the rule with West Virginia, but I gotta imagine this is more complex than simply have California vote on it.

I say make California into two states, North and South California. With the dividing line being somewhere between Fresno and Bakersfield.

The major population areas haven't talked about it but the northern counties that feel like they are forced to follow all the laws and regs that those areas want have talked about it for years. They just haven't had money to get it on the ballot.

I don't know who that is but they don't speak for this state. It's always some nonsense coming from someone up north...which is surprising because there are a lot of really good people who live there

It's funny you say that cause there are some from Western Maryland trying to get a spit from the rest of MD. I assume they would be called West Maryland like West Virginia.

Same thing pops up every few years in NY, mostly country boy upstaters who don't like NYC politicians getting involved up here. When you do the math though, it's pretty obvious NYC is the only city growing and making money in NY

The difference is that NYC is actually almost like it's own state. They have a bunch of laws that only apply to NYC among other things.

Also to say that NYC is the only place growing in NY is pretty naive. My whole life I have been watching WNY slowly start to grow more and more. Now they're actually developing more in Downtown Buffalo as well.
