That actually sounds like a good movie. If you remember the title could you say so on the thread or send me a PM.

    Thanks.

To me, having a fever even it's less than 100.4 is enough reason to keep someone home. There needs to be more vigilance with this, I know some will say "but I have a life to live" blah blah blah but as i've said before it's better to be safe than sorry.

I was watching a public affairs program on here and one of the guests mentioned how people were freaking out more about SARS than they seem to be about Ebola. It's a bit strange to me that something that's clearly known to kill people and can be spread pretty quickly if not held in check is having a laisez faire attitude by medical professionals.

Frontier Airlines said in a letter to employees that the CDC warned about "the possibility" an Ebola-sickened nurse had symptoms aboard a flight.

Yea that's it. It was thinking contaminated or something like that. I went to see this with my gf and see was sleep 30 min in. I thought it was a decent movie though.

It started out just like this ebola outbreak. I small isolated case, then the number of infected grew and grew until it became an epidemic. Me personally, I won't become to worried until it hits Florida.

                  Re: Ebola

The fact that some people are so flippant about this is exactly what will cause ebola to become a bigger problem. Like knight said, with the way people travel and the population density this could easily get out of hand. Not saying it's going to, but it could.

I've jumped on the side of better safe than sorry. Although I think disinfecting the school is kind of pointless since Ebola can only live for so long and people took home items with them that won't be cleaned.

I do medical sales, I interact with medical professionals and come in contact with patients often in elevators, on stretchers, etc. I'm constantly in and out of hospitals all over Louisiana all the time. So I would say my "contact" chance is of the higher variety and no I don't find it "callous", it is realistic that it is not a concern currently (maybe a .000001% [Random Number] chance you could come in contact with it currently in the US).

Now I'm not saying go lick Africans lol, I just find perspective on the situation is a bit skewed of the current situation in America. Wash your hands, don't put your hands and stuff in your mouth, be mindful of your surrounding and people who are sick. Basically treat it like you would any other day of the week trying not to get the flu from someone else. Do those things and basically everyone here on OS will not come in contact with this virus, at least not in a long long time unless this thing really blows wide open. I know as a cop Knight you are forced to be hands on but your likely hood of contraction is still so low you have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting Ebola.

I think you mean the opposite. (When showing clarity, one would show an ability to keep one's job.) I'm an ardent Fox News watcher, but not a Shep fan (too Geraldo-ish) and I think it's irresponsible for Shep/Fox to recommend getting a flu shot ...... also a bit of a hot topic.
