Re: Ebola
I was watching a public affairs program on here and one of the guests mentioned how people were freaking out more about SARS than they seem to be about Ebola. It's a bit strange to me that something that's clearly known to kill people and can be spread pretty quickly if not held in check is having a laisez faire attitude by medical professionals.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Ebola
I can't remember the name but this while ebola thing reminds me of the movie a couple years back where a wife went on a business trip to Asia, and caught a disease by eating pork contaminated by a bat. They had to track down everyone she came in contact with and that's who her husband found out she was cheating on him.Comment

Frontier Airlines said in a letter to employees that the CDC warned about "the possibility" an Ebola-sickened nurse had symptoms aboard a flight.

Re: Ebola
It started out just like this ebola outbreak. I small isolated case, then the number of infected grew and grew until it became an epidemic. Me personally, I won't become to worried until it hits Florida.

Re: Ebola
The fact that some people are so flippant about this is exactly what will cause ebola to become a bigger problem. Like knight said, with the way people travel and the population density this could easily get out of hand. Not saying it's going to, but it could.Battle.net: xXKING08Xx

"This is Shep Smith reporting from my climate controlled facility that is guarded by security. I'll be going home to my gated community in which nobody is allowed to enter.
Those "in the street" however are fools to be worried....you idiots."
Look, those who don't come into contact with a lot of people...sure you don't have to be overly worried....
But just because it doesn't effect you....doesn't mean you should be so flippant about the worries of others.
You live in bum****?.....GREAT.....go lick doorknobs and handrails.
Have fun.
But to downplay it for those that are involved with a large number of people...and in my case in particular....perhaps someone with is bleeding or worse.....is just flat out callous.

Now I'm not saying go lick Africans lol, I just find perspective on the situation is a bit skewed of the current situation in America. Wash your hands, don't put your hands and stuff in your mouth, be mindful of your surrounding and people who are sick. Basically treat it like you would any other day of the week trying not to get the flu from someone else. Do those things and basically everyone here on OS will not come in contact with this virus, at least not in a long long time unless this thing really blows wide open. I know as a cop Knight you are forced to be hands on but your likely hood of contraction is still so low you have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting Ebola.Last edited by Phobia; 10-16-2014, 12:48 PM.Comment

Re: Ebola
I think you mean the opposite. (When showing clarity, one would show an ability to keep one's job.) I'm an ardent Fox News watcher, but not a Shep fan (too Geraldo-ish) and I think it's irresponsible for Shep/Fox to recommend getting a flu shot ...... also a bit of a hot topic.Comment
