Does a sneeze count through air? Or does that generally mean it can't be contracted by being in the same room of someone who is just breathing normal.

Should it mutate and form a new strain then it could become airborne. This current strain appears not to be.

              Re: Ebola

As someone said it's not airborne now but it could mutate. There's a reason why this thing is just ripping across Africa.

As long as it doesn't mutate and no one else contracts it we'll be ok but as I said in my first post, i'm still very leery. Couldn't they have taken those two Americans to a military base in Europe or something instead?

Is it really "ripping across Africa though"? There are 1.1 billion people in Africa and only a thousand have died from Ebola.

There was also a recent story about a possibly traveler returning from W. Africa who ended up in Mt. Sinai Hospital and was being tested for it.

The Mount Sinai Hospital patient who has been in isolation since Monday does not have the Ebola virus, hospital officials said Wednesday afternoon.

Dont remember where Ive read it though. It could be this particular strain that makes it different. Not sure.

                      Found it.

I just think that these people were highly trained professionals and ended up with it (I know they were working under difference circumstances) but who's to say another mistake cannot be made and this stuff spread.

First confirmed case in the US yesterday, in Dallas. They're now looking for anyone that came in contact with the patient; the number is up to 100 as of now. Family has been told to stay in their home until Oct. 19.

The Dallas hospital treating a patient with Ebola blamed a glitch in its electronic health records as the reason he was first released despite telling a nurse he had come from West Africa.

Reminds me of the movie Outbreak. I have my thoughts but I know they'd violate the TOS. So I'll hold them.
