Re: Off Topic 2015
Man everytime I see that T-Mac picture, it makes my blood boil.
What made him think those pants were a good idea to wear in the first place?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Off Topic 2015
In this day and age... quite possibly. I never thought I'd see one in my life. I would say there is probably tougher, though, like, coming back from a 3-0 series deficit (does that even count?)MLB: Minnesota Twins
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
NBA: Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves
European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion
NCAA: UNI Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes

Re: Off Topic 2015
In terms of rarity, I wouldn't consider that to be AS rare though. It might have happened 5 times in sports history, but it's happened at least 3 times in everyone on this sites lifetime(assuming everyone on this site is 11 or older...)Comment

That's true. Though, can't forget that after a 25 year drought, there were three TC winners in a six year span. I feel like the TC comes and goes in streaks while the other is just now starting to pick up. Apples to Oranges, though really.MLB: Minnesota Twins

Re: Off Topic 2015
Anyone else losing their love for sports? When I was younger I would watch everything. As I've gotten older and have less time, I just don't have the passion. I couldn't tell you the last time I watched a full NBA and MLB game. I still keep up with the news, but don't watch much. NFL and college football I still enjoy, but other than my favorite teams, I don't mind missing big games.
I just feel like I'd rather do something else with my time than watch sports.
But it's funny, you say you'd rather do something else with your time than watch sports but I don't have a desire to do anything else. I just don't watch as much because I don't like them as much.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2015
The only sport I still watch on a regular basis is College Football.
Everything else is really hard to follow because of time zone issues and the day(s) it is played on. The NFL has been taken away from me completely.
Even CFB requires me to get little to no sleep between Saturday and Sunday.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2015
Polo is a considered a sport. If polo is a sport, horse racing certainly is. If track is considered a sport, horses racing around a track should also certainly be considered a sport, at least for the animal.
It's definitely apples and oranges. In horse racing, it's always a new "league" every year. You can't ever see the same horses in those races the next year. And with the entry into each race being different, and the fact that the horses don't have to run in all 3, all the stars have to align to get the one horse that is capable of running all three races in 5 weeks with the right trip against the right competition. A great "draft" means it's less likely as you will have a different horse meant to win each race. Doesn't mean this year that there were bad horses; they just weren't nearly as good. Just too many variables.
If there had been fewer horses in the Kentucky Derby, maybe Frosted and Materiality don't have to make the moves they do and waste time making up ground instead of stalking. If it hadn't been raining at Pimlico, maybe American Pharaoh loses... the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn showed just how good he was in the wet and the fact Tale of Verve finished 2nd shows how poor the rest of the field was in those conditions. If a horse bred more for distance had entered the Belmont, maybe AP loses. Again, doubt it as Frosted was the best distance horse in the field not named AP and he even started fading the last quarter mile, but not AP.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2015
Kinda sad thing....there was a baby bird in the yard that had broken wing. Didnt wanna help it cause its parents were there still looking after it for past few days, bringing food, watching over it and all that. I still bothered to at least leave food and water for it just in case it wanted more. Sad part..found it dead today, looked like some cat got part of it. Sadder seeing the parents walking around the yard trying to find it and obviously not being able to
Im not much of an animal person, but still hoped that had a better ending. It was 2nd dead bird i found in past week and 2nd injured one stuck on my yard i tried helping. The 1st one i assume was safe,or just didnt die in my yardLast edited by Majingir; 06-07-2015, 05:10 PM.Comment
