I have absolutely no work to do at work today and it's killing me.

 Re: Off Topic 2015

Today was my first day back after being off for a week. I think I got halfway through my emails and three quarters of the way through voicemails today. I'm hopeful I'll find my desk by weeks end.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

 Re: Off Topic 2015

I'm the exact opposite of you then, lol. If I'm going to be at work, I'd rather have stuff to do instead of sitting idly by.

I spent today debugging a program I made, which meant running the program, waiting anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours for the program to finish or error out, then I (try to) fix whatever went wrong and do it again. Normally, that's fine, but I had absolutely nothing else to do during that waiting time but sit there and rot from boredom.

 Can't stand that.----------------------

First time going through the apartment searching process by myself...this **** sucks. Especially in a place where a majority of open apartments are student housing.Comment

 Off Topic 2015

It finally happened. Tonight, I achieved one of my (dumber and sad) life goals.

We go to Pluckers (the best wing place in the world but that's besides the point) every Tuesday for sports trivia. Not only do we rake, our group is so big it requires two tables (about 8-9 people or so). Tonight we walked into the bar area and just put two tables together without consulting the staff because at this point they know we're going to need two tables.

And then it happened. Our usual waitress didn't even take my order. She just brought out my 10 Dr. Pepper wings and side of fries.

Y'all don't understand how excited I am about this. I always wanted to be the old man that has a "regular" order at a restaurant. I thought that only happened in the movies. I didn't think this type of stuff actually happened.Last edited by Watson; 07-21-2015, 11:24 PM.And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Congrats! I hope to someday be a regular somewhere, where each time I go they greet me by name and wave me past the hostess stand to my table/chair and bring my drink of choice and meal...followed by my usual dessert as well.It finally happened. Tonight, I achieved one of my (dumber and sad) life goals.

You'll start tucking in your shirt even while wearing jeans.

You'll even get the respect nod from those younger than you (rather than the "'Sup!" nod).

You'll soon start sprouting hairs all over the place where you look the Geico caveman (seriously, my dad looks like he has a Siberian husky trapped under his chest he has so many white hairs popping out the top of his shirt).

SpoilerKnight can fill you on the rest. :wink:Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
