Way more entertaining than the firefighting aspect. I'm going to that for my second time next week for DC school. Last time It was hot as ****.. They essentially light a room on fire and you combat it.

I got to do that when we went through TSTA in Mayport. Was a lot of fun.

Before that my battery died at a Taco Bell, someone inside tried to help but my cables literally fell apart. Ran in the rain to Big Lots to get a new pair. Luckily a couple who graduated from FSU driving through stopped and help me out when they saw me practically banging my head against the window in frustration.

Don't know about NY but in MA you need to about fines and such. Would look those chapters as well.

I think we had to memorize the points you get for certain offenses. I remember running a school bus's stop sign being like 6 points which is major.

Haven't heard one thing about points since. But I've only been stopped once.

The written test is easy, the actual road test is the hard part. It really is about how comfortable you feel behind the wheel. I'd highly recommend some time in a parking lot supervised for practice.

Before your road test I suggest you take a parent/experienced driver with you to a school parking lot after hours/ or on the weekends. (perfect time completely empty most of the times) and get some practice in.

                Practice
                - Turning, controlling the steering wheel
                - Driving in Reverse
                - For parallel parking place two cones about 25 feet apart, 7 feet away from a curb. And practice reversing into it. Don't get discouraged if you bump the curb a few times, just pull back out and try to correct it, make sure you do it really slow at first.
                - Coming to a complete stop at stop signs.

Do like a couple of hours of driving in a parking lot beforehand, and your road test will be easy.

So I think that if I had to take the test right now, I'd be in decent shape, but I'm still going to study to improve in some areas (bolded)
NY is 20 questions and I think you can't get lower than a 70 or 75. Its been about 8.5 years since I got mine.

SC is hard. You can only miss 6 out of 30 and it stops you when you miss 7. The first time i failed on like question 29. They had some common sense but some trick questions also

Anyone else randomly have stuff installed on your computer without realizing it? Don't mean viruses, but suddenly today I noticed I had AVG 2015 installed on my computer(along with the web tuneup) and google toolbar installed for internet explorer(though I never use explorer...).

Haven't installed any program in awhile, so weird to see those things randomly installed on my computer within past week.....

And thinking of getting the AVG Tuneup stuff but apparently it's gotten bad reviews from people? Though last time I used anything like that, was tuneup utilities(the thing AVG took over) and I didn't mind it at all. Just hoping nothing slows down my computer.

Yeah, some programs apparently like sneak AVG in with them. I've gotten it a couple times, once from WinZip. It's annoying too because it basically forces itself on you resetting your default homepage and search engine to AVG and I've heard it can be a pain to get rid of.

Ya,had that happen, but found the problem was that during installation, that's one of settings,so if you didn't install it,you wouldn't have been able to uncheck boxes.

But aside from that,is AVG Tuneup good? I'm only really gonna use it for cleaning registry, getting rid of those temporary files often in the computer, possibly disabling some stuff that loads during startup, and things like that. Nothing major like defragmeting harddrive(though might consider doing that once a year or so). Don't want to disable any of the animations on windows either.

Have you looked at CCleaner? I've been using the program for years and it does everything listed while being lightweight.

Don't wanna install too many things, so just having everything grouped together(since I got avg virus stuff already, figured I'd go for their tuneup stuff) is more preferred, but don't know if their tuneup stuff is any good.

Been going through various programs my computer has as well, and wondering just how many of them I actually need. Have no idea if getting rid of any will make my computer even slightly faster.

You don't even need an Antivirus suite type deal if you're smart. Just MSE, malwarebytes and CCleaner are more than enough.

Throw some AdGuard on there for your browser and you're set. That's more than 99% of the population will ever need, if they don't click on every link a Nigerian prince sends them.
