Oh to be young again and playing sports daily ... I live vicariously through my 7 year old.

Enjoy it while you have it, man. Real life has a fickle way of sneaking up on you.

I actually cover them for a living lol. So yeah, real life has snuck up on me.

I suck. Trying to play March Madness '06 and I can't do anything. Can't seem to access the memory of how to succeed but even with sliders slanted heavily in my favor, and against a team that is really really bad, I simply cannot do a damn thing and it's pretty embarrassing.

Have you tried beginner with sliders at 100 for you and 0 for the other team.

This is becoming a serious possibility lol.

The thing that made me sad was after I started struggling I scoured OS for some ancient sliders, and guys were talking about shooting 70% with sliders way more difficult than mine. I'm shooting like 30% with the easy sliders and can't rebound even though I tried to cheese the rebounding sliders with 100 for me and 0 for them, it's entirely possible I could be the worst player ever and the only person in gaming history who could lose with universal 100 and 0 for all user/cpu sliders

If that ever happened to me that would be the day I stop playing sports video games.

lol, the day I started doubting my video game playing abilities was the day I lost to people(family) less than half my age in a game I actually played somewhat regularly. And they didn't even know how I was doing most of what I was doing,but I still lost.

I wasn't going easy on them either lol. If I was winning,I'd let them make it close,but I was never winning......

Though at times I don't want to try too hard when playing,cause then it'd make it seem like I play these games alot when really it's not that, it's just that I've played games since such a young age, that I could pick up a controller and play a game I haven't played in 10+ years,and play it like I've never stopped.

This is pretty much me trying to play NHL. Just can't find a good balance, either I dominate or I struggle.

Something I've done is just keep track of every major stat I know I can get diff results by changing sliders, keep track without changing sliders and play many games with those same sliders,eventually I'd find right balance.

Though even if I play games with good sliders,there's always those games which you suck in. Like today, had a game in MLB where I had 12 baserunners,other team had like 3 hits. I lost 2-0.....

That's cause it is. I like hockey more than other sports, but I don't enjoy playing NHL nearly as much as I do NBA or MLB.

If it wasn't for ability to add custom sound between plays,for goals,intros and so on, and customize other parts of the game through various editing tools found on this site, I'd have nowhere close to as much interest playing the game.

Though after NHL15....Don't know if I'll ever get another hockey game which sucks, cause I've been a fan of EA Sports NHL hockey since 2000 and have played majority of the games that have come out since,but it's just gotten to the point where it seems like people making the game just suck.

I really liked NHL 15. It was my most played not FIFA sports game this year.
