But because his fiancee's cousins and friends and all that won't be able to make it, he's pushing it back to September 10-13 and we can't even go in October like ORIGINALLY bantered about because of his work.

Horrible. So now because he needs to invite and have those guys with us too, we go from a small and tight 6 guys to like 15 guys, we have to change our bookings, lose that extra cool-down day off, fly on and party over 9/11 weekend, *AND* miss Week 1 of football since that Sunday coming back will basically be a loss with checking out and going to the airport and all that crap.

        Ugh. ****ing' obligations. So annoying.
        Where you headed?

Best bachelor party I ever attended was a tight group of 6 guys, went to Vegas and it was literally the funnest week I ever had.

Worst bachelor party was a large group of about 15 with poor leadership. When you have too many people then you cant please everyone and the one pissed off person brings everyone down. It was 2 nights in Saratoga NY which is a fine town for a getaway but the Best man was in way over his head. He could not lead his hearty fellow men to do anything so essentially little groups splintered off. Large groups need solid planning and a alpha male to get Sh done.

I always hated going out in large groups. There was always drama and ****.

                    We're going to Portland.

Pros: Crazy amount of beer and breweries and like, the highest adult establishment rate per capita in the US.

                    Cons: Hipsterville USA. Like extreme.

He wanted those guys there partly because he "has" to and partly because they're crazier partiers than we are. Our group of 6 knows how to have fun but we're still quite a bit more tame compared to them.

We'll have our own hotel and flight plans and the other guys will have their accommodations and whatnot but I'm sure we'll all be spending ample amount of time with each other. The group thing is gonna be really tough to do but we're good at organizing things and not too high-strung (yes, really) so that much shouldn't be too big an issue.

I'm moreso concerned with the issues I laid out in my original post. Ugh.

Anyways, I just left the dmv and I passed the test. It was pretty easy. They just gave me a piece of paper with my info on it as the permit but said the one with my picture and stuff should come in about 2 weeks.

And is it just me or does $85.75 sound like a bit much for a permit? Lol
Yes, that sounds expensive. In Mississippi and Iowa permits/licenses have always been $5 a year. No way in hell your permit is good for 17 years since it's a permit... then again, maybe it takes New Yorkers that long to learn how to drive.

Iowa kind of sucks. They do it based on your weight and the sticker price so mine is $250, but it doesn't go down for like 7-10 years and it never goes below $50.

In Mississippi, it depreciates with the value of the car, so my dad's truck was like $600 the first year, but if you hold on to it, your tags are like $40-$75 or so by year 10 depending on your original cost. Tennessee was nice because it was a reasonable flat rate always. Or at least it was years ago when my family lived there.

Went out Friday, saw a chick with an Auburn shirt on.

. I had to say something so I planned to go take a leak and get a drink beforehand. I came back and my friend was all ready over there breaking the ice for me.. lol. So we got to chatting and her and her 5 beautiful friends were from Iowa State on a teaching program here for a few months. They work with my friend's fiance.

We partied together for a few hours and me and the Auburn chick dominated in some beer pong (seems juvenile, but I still enjoy it from time to time, especially if I'm playing for drinks), but apparently they were breaking their curfew and had to bail when shore patrol showed up and didn't even have a chance to ask for a number or any contact info.

So we are going to the beach and cliffs today for some fun. Naturally, I'm like "hey.. tell your fiance to invite her friends from school." It worked..

Anyone on this site from Buffalo? Or at least been there recently enough? Might head out there for a day or two, wanna know what's worth checking out when I go. Too bad it won't be a month or two later, would've been nice to check out a hockey game there.
