Being in college and being good friends with our soccer team I have been invited to go to their parties last night and tonight but I would rather watch some Bruins hockey. Also that should be a great game tonight.Comment

My first job was at a Chick-Fil-A and I loved it...able to get off on Sunday, work from 4-close every day after school and all day Saturday if I wanted/asked but more so it helped me get into a fortune 500 company as a career.Last edited by Speedy; 10-31-2015, 06:14 PM.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Host or busser at a restaurant. Serving at a diner but not a place that serves alcohol (can't do it as a minor so it would be a hassle). Work in a pizza place, inside or as a driver.
It's getting late in the season now but lots of seasonal jobs for the holidays in retail. Cashiering/floor or stocking.
I did multiple restaurants, but I enjoyed retail more. Worked overnight at one place and day/evening at a different place. Pretty competitive wages, especially at higher end retail stores. Flexible hours. Not as much people treating you like their bitch as being a server, although you make less it's worth the peace of mind.
Perk of being a stock associate is helping people load large items in to their cars. Get tipped occasionally and especially around the holidays. And screw any policy that says you can't accept them.
I've worked all these jobs, and while they typically don't translate to "big boy jobs," I learned from my experiences. Customer service/interaction in food industry, and I even was promoted to a full time shipper/receiver position from stock associate complete with a 401k plan and health benefits. Even now, on the opposite end of retail (as a vendor/manufacturer), I get hit up all the time by talent recruiters because of that initial experience.
Ya never know. Good for you wanting to get out there and contribute and make some money. Don't work too hard though, you have your whole lifetime to do that. But a work ethic and time management skills at a young age aren't bad to have and/or work on.Last edited by slickdtc; 10-31-2015, 06:58 PM.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Off Topic 2015
It is a really, really fun holiday to celebrate here if you don't have to work the next day like I did. Even the boat hoes show out. I think what really turned me off of going out as a final deciding factor was the two girls in tutus outside my window who were discussing whether or not they could "twerk in a tutu" and then proceeded to try it. I really don't wanna be around people like that at this point in my life.. lol.
The Japanese girls tend to wear less clothing as winter rolls in anyways so I'm not too worried about missing a few short skirts on Halloween.Comment

I don't think I've ever changed my Twitter avatar. Until today.
From the Bayside "Shudderbird" logo to... the same logo with a Christmas hat on the bird and Christmas lights bordering the picture.
It's the holidays now!NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Halloween over, now onto Christmas stuff for next several weeks. I know USA still got Thanksgiving before that, but still,we all know Christmas stuff starts up way too early, for some places, they even had Christmas stuff in September, but now is the time when they'll actually start airing the commercials and stuff on TV.Comment
