Blu-Ray drive probably just needs replaced. Got mine done at a local repair shop about a year ago, ran about $60-$79 if memory serves well.

News feed is for actual news? Seems like facebook has become serious business for some.

A site so big like that,you're bound to have people using it for various reasons. I use it for more serious stuff just cause it's more convenient. Just having all the type of stuff you want to hear about,all grouped together in 1 feed.

Though their "top stories" section does lead to you not seeing everything. I have to constantly change it to "most recent" cause if you just go with top stories, it just shows you the most popular posts from people in your feed,in past 12 hours,and it leaves a number of posts off.

Main reason I do use things like the family,close friends and other feeds as well(and have people having me on those feeds too) so it's quicker to find the posts/updates from specific groups of people. I've had people commenting on stuff I posted quite some time ago,just cause they never even saw that post,until weeks after I posted it(even though those people use facebook every day),and I know same thing happened to me to where I never saw certain posts until weeks later.

I'm not talking following random people and relying on them for news. I mean having posts from actual pages like those reliable news stations to get news from.

Anything that gets posted on CNN is basically mentioned in all their posts anyways, so you can see major headlines and all that from these news stations in your feed and if you want to go further,then you go to the actual link of their site.

I seem to get a lot of my news from Twitter.

For all the dumb **** that social media is responsible for, It pays me back with Twitter. It's a great source for following College Football and Basketball recruiting. I'm a member of 24/7, but I barely even use it because I all ready follow most of the writers for Auburn Undercover on Twitter.

I also know more about the weather forecast back home than I ever do here.

Is there a way to tell if an iPhone/iPad game requires data before you download it? I'm getting ready for my flight to Australia (roughly 30 hours) and want to find some games that will keep me occupied for awhile

So I just read via Deadspin that Colin Cowherd is thinking of leaving ESPN WOOHOO! The bad news is, he's angling to get into political talk radio.

Not surprised at all. Kinda funny though because apparently one of ESPN's concerns with bringing Simmons back was that they'd have to pay Cowherd even more than Simmons

Idol is (finally) ending!

Show has obviously been in the decline for past number of years,especially when you have abunch of other new shows to compete against. I never cared at all for this show, so won't make much difference to me to see it end, though I had what this show has lead to. Seeing virtually every channel having some sort of singing,dancing,talent show type of reality shows.
