I watched the first person video until he pulled out the gun. Then I... I just couldn't. I'm sitting here on the verge of tears man. The world... Like it just shouldn't be like this.

My skin literally stood up when I read why Psy posted.

We're certainly naive to believe this is just a one-time occurrence...I still question where the parents are of this generation. We're raising children without an understanding of what's right/wrong.

But that's another story/topic for another time.

My soul grieves for these families...it really does.

I don't understand how you guys can even bring yourself to watch any part of it.

Speedy - this generation's parents are just as good/bad as every other generation. Human behavior has largely remained unchanged over the course of human history.

He tweeted a reasoning for why he shot both of them. Not really sure if it's kosher to post or not, but I assume you could find it if you search. His twitter handle has been shut down, but I'm certain there are screen grabs of it.

I kinda blind clicked into it not knowing what it was and the video started. It took me a few moments to realize what it was, what was about to happen, and that it wasn't fake.

Very strange video. The original video with her screaming didn't make me think Alison was shot first, I thought Adam was.

Very crazy how long he has the gun drawn and they never notice. He also whispered "bitch" under his breath during the video. Many shots fired too, it was really said.

I believe they said he was killed as well. Was it suicide, or did the police gun him down?

This is a smart community, so I know I don't have to say this, but I'll put it out there anyway just so we're all on the same page.

Do not post any sort of link/embed/etc. to any video of the actual shooting. If anyone is curious enough to view it, you can venture away from OS and find it on your own. Don't post it here.

Speedy - this generation's parents are just as good/bad as every other generation. Human behavior has largely remained unchanged over the course of human history.

Human behavior certainly hasn't changed but there is without question a lack of discipline from parents against their children. An old proverb states: Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

As far as the video...I can't watch any of it without being scarred for life. I cannot see human death materialize in front of my eyes.

Well, now is probably not the time to debate parenting tactics, but lack of discipline has always been a problem. I also don't see how "lack of discipline" suddenly leads to overly aggressive behavior. It really just feels like the previous generation saying "this generation is worse than mine, because reasons."

Either way I don't see how that is relevant in this case with an adult shooter.

If we're talking about the shooter's motivations, one big difference between then and now is media and social media expansion. Clearly, he wanted everybody to know that it happened and that he did it. I can see why most people would want to brag about a crime that they committed, like people calling "popcorn" in the card game B.S. just so you can let people know you got away with something. Dumb example, but definitely fair.

The less attention we give the guy (and I will never say or quote either of his two names on here) and the more we give to the victims (I am curious whether the interviewee was also shot?), the better.

She was shot and is in the hospital. I believe it was reported she is stable.
